Delicious vegan restaurant. The service is always very friendly and quick. The food is excellent, gluten-free cakes are always available.
The menu is small and clear. That's okay so far. As a guest who likes to come back again and again, I would like to see a change every now and then.

Restaurant review for the Alteatro in Augsburg
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We were guests at Al Teatro on Tuesday afternoon. The restaurant is centrally located in Augsburg city center and is therefore ideally reachable on foot. The atmosphere was pleasant as it was only moderately busy at the time.
The food left us with an overall positive impression. One person ordered the Hawaii pizza. It tasted good, but could have been served a little hotter. However, the gluten-free pasta with broccoli and scampi that the second person chose was excellent. The fresh ingredients and perfect preparation made the dish a highlight. The surcharge of 2 euros for the gluten-free pasta is understandable, but should be taken into account.
Particularly noteworthy is the option to order gluten-free pizza, which is certainly a big plus point for many guests. However, the surcharge of 5.90 euros for the gluten-free version is quite high and should be considered accordingly.
A small point of criticism was that we occasionally felt a cold draft on our backs. In addition, the staff near us ate lunch a bit loudly, which disrupted the quiet atmosphere at times. However, these are small things that only minimally affected the visit.
Overall, Al Teatro is a good choice, especially for lovers of Italian cuisine who also value gluten-free options. With small improvements it could exploit its potential even better. We'd love to come back!

Arrogant boss who unfortunately doesn't know what they offer. Coupon book is randomly applied to food. e.g. Gluten-free dishes, which already cost extra, are excluded. The boss justifies this with high costs. Then why the extra charge????
It's a shame that as an allergy sufferer you are punished twice.

Gluten-free options:
Since my daughter needs gluten-free products due to celiac disease, I came across this bakery by chance. We were there today for an afternoon coffee and were served by a nice young gentleman who was really knowledgeable about the subject and also served us in a friendly manner and explained everything. There is a small selection of gluten-free pastries (almond croissants, walnut cubes) which were arranged separately and above the counter so that no contamination can occur. He also took extra gloves and not the usual tongs with which other products were touched. A chocolate banana was probably also gluten-free, but he pointed out the contraindication as it was in the regular display.
We immediately had a good feeling when someone was so knowledgeable about this topic.
There are also frozen bread, pretzels and rolls that you can buy and take with you. We took a loaf of bread (1kg, 8€ => ok for a gluten-free product) with us, the rest will follow on our next visit ;-)
