A great experience! Wide selection of gluten-free options, including sandwiches. Try the Uitmijter sandwich; it's a real meal in a sandwich, typical of Holland, with meltingly tender onions.

Once again a wonderful renewed van der Valk experience! The hotel is conveniently located to reach both De Koog and Den Burg by bike. Bicycles can be rented through the hotel, great! Tip: rent the bike before the arrival day and get to Texel on time. You cannot yet check in to your room, but you can already set off by bike from the hotel. The appearance of the hotel is luxurious and new. Large spacious rooms with coffee and tea making facilities, small fridge and a comfortable bed. Temperature was very pleasant in our room while it was 25 degrees outside. Breakfast was delicious, including gluten and lactose free options. More care must be taken to ensure that this is replenished. Unfortunately, there was no more lactose-free yoghurt on the 2nd day :-( Room service was lovely too! According to the staff, this could be ordered via the tablet in the room, but it kept cutting out when I took it out of the charger. Ordering room service via reception is the fastest. Big compliment to the friendly staff. The hotel is dog friendly, upon arrival there was a dog mat and bag with a toy, some treats and poop bags in the room, really great!
