This place is the best! Such a small town diner feel where everyone knows each other. The staff was super friendly. They are very accommodating for gluten free items and even have a protocol in place for celiac/severe gf allergy. Highly recommend!

I have Celiac and this is my absolute favorite place to eat. They have a dedicated gluten-free fryer so I can eat their amazing French fries and fried chicken. They also have separate pasta preparation so I can eat pasta there as well! Their food is absolutely delicious every time, and they have a great selection of wine and cocktails. I recently had the fried chicken sandwich with broccolini and buttermilk dressing with fries, and my friend had the flank steak with greens... we were both very happy. On top of that, the staff is consistently so friendly and kind. Highly recommended!

My husband and I spent our anniversary dinner at Edgar’s at the Belhurst castle and it was so delicious. I am gluten-free and they had a whole menu that they prepared for me showing all gluten-free dishes. Our waitress was so kind and funny and then we went to the private bar outside of Edgars just across the hall, and that was so amazing and so much fun. We sat in front of the beautiful fireplace and Thomas who made us our most delicious cocktails, the Grinch, and an espresso martini which was the most delicious that we’ve had.we highly recommend Edgar restaurant and the bar across the hall from the restaurant. Very Victorian style, homey and very comfortable. Drinks are delicious and food is super delicious. Great atmosphere super friendly staff and we will be back again and again. Go to the Belhurst Castle and enjoy dinner and drinks! You will have fun and I know you will enjoy your time there.

Our 2nd trip to Halsey's...they do a great job serving gluten free foods. Staff is knowledgeable in the importance of allergies to gluten. Ambience is lovely, restaurant had a lively buzz of conversation. Our family group of 7 enjoyed several menu choices. We've agreed to make Halsey's a great place to meet up.

My favorite area diner. Unexpected gem in a tiny town. Allergy friendly for those with gluten/dairy allergies. Very accommodating. Creative twists on classic diner fare. Farm to table. Locally sourced meats. Homemade jam and baked goods. The “Tam Jam” is the best strawberry jam around!
