I have celiac, and this is one of the restaurants I trust to not get me sick. Staff are always kind. Almost always clean. Occasionally, there will be a mix-up, but it is always fixed.
Other reviewers left the impression that vegan options and gluten free options were available. Not really. I was able to find a salad I could omit cheese from and it actually was really good and the reason I gave it as high of a review as I did. However vegan cheese substitutes would have been much preferred. Having burger w/o a vegan patty option is a horrible plan for any restaurant in 2024 and beyond. Didn't want a salad, wanted something hot to warm me up with. Maybe they'll see this and improve...? Almost not sure that I care.
Waitress was excellent. Ambiance was way up there. Everyone else at my table enjoyed their food.
I was in WI for the weekend. I went to Cracker Barrel twice and enjoyed both meals. I'm gluten free and dairy free and had no problem finding something to eat. Service was fast, even on Sunday
We brought our 4 year old granddaughter for breakfast this morning to start her 4th Birthday at one of her favorite places. The Bessie’s staff treated her so well! Like the princess that she is!
Also, I am celiac and must eat gluten free. Accommodated me easily and so far I feel great!
