Stopped in to Heritage for some sushi this evening and wanted to say it was delicious 🍱 We sat at the bar which is so beautiful! The decor is amazing. I ordered the California roll and the sushi chef assured me it is gluten free. Our bartender John was so professional and helpful. I had always wanted to try this place. I was beyond disappointed. The sushi had brown rice which I don’t like. I saw other people’s food and they had white so it would have been nice to know I had a choice since ALL rice is gluten free. I asked for gluten-free soy sauce and was assured it was but then had a reaction later so it obviously wasn’t. None of the workers were friendly nor welcoming. What truly turned my stomach was watching workers fill water glasses by literally pressing the water pitcher down on each glass where people drink thus spreading germs. I appreciate music and a good vibe but it was obnoxiously loud. Super HARD pass.

Day 1: Sat at the bar and had a great experience. The bartender was attentive and got my order just right — egg drop soup, shrimp dumplings, and salmon with gluten-free fried rice and broccoli. Everything was fresh and flavorful.
Day 2: Dined at a table, and unfortunately, my order wasn’t quite right. A bit disappointing, but I’d like to believe it was just an off day.
Still, overall a solid spot, especially when everything clicks. Would go back!

Great spot for Asian food in Kansas City! They could make most anything (minus the rolls) gluten free and even had gluten free soy sauce on the table! A range of spiciness too from not at all (me!) to extra spicy (my sister). The service was super quick. It felt like our food was out not 5 minutes after we ordered. Really delicious Pho! I got beef brisket and my mom got seafood and really enjoyed it. Boba tea my brother got was also yummy

Mama Ramen is my go-to ramen place in the Kansas City area! They are always very fast and accurate with orders. I am a big fan of the variety of options for each section of the menu (protein, broth, toppings, etc.) Another big perk is that they have rice ramen noodles for those of us who are gluten-free eaters. Only down side is that they do not have a designated parking area, but that is common in downtown areas.

The best Thai in the area!! We used to drive 35 min one way for good Thai food. This isn't just good, it's GREAT. Better than any I've had locally!
