Decent coffee and cakes. They have one gluten free chicken wrap and a few gluten free sweet options too. The wrap was only half filled and not that great but did the job.
St. Ali Coffee Roasters in the departure hall (after customs) is a nice place to chill and have coffee/tea/snacks. It has a beat and may get crowded. Nonetheless, people do come and go. The gluten-free fudge brownie goes very well with a hot mocha coffee. The staff is also friendly and nice. Great way to say goodbye to Melbourne with this cup of coffee and snacks before departure.
This is a nice spot to have a drink or feed while waiting for your flight. Much less crowded than the Two Johns bar in the main part of the terminal, and no kids running around either. I only had a ginger beer so can’t comment on the food that seems to be the main reason for the low reviews. If you’re a coeliac like me you’re going to be limited to wine or ginger beer unfortunately. Will be spending my waiting time here from now on.
Wow. I'd like to give them zero, but It seemed I couldn't post without at least 1 star. I'm coeliac. Saw their GF section. Can't be classified as GF in any way shape or form. Asked who decides where the GF food is placed and was told that the manager makes those decisions. I said that their food may have started out as GF but they've contaminated it with gluten by placing gluten food next to it and leaving all the crumbs fall on the GF food. So they aren't selling GF food. They're lying. The service attendant dismissed it as not her problem as she's only following the manager's orders. I stated that the manager was an idiot and I'm not sure how they've gotten their job if they don't know the first thing about food allergies and contamination which is one of the subjects in food the service industry.
I believe that all the staff in this canteen could do with retraining or some extra training as they either don't care or are stupid.
Fantastic on all counts,
After a Long flight from Vietnam without my husband being able to eat on our journey down to the airline not being able to cater for his dietary requirements, allergies plus being Coeliac.
Breath of fresh air Hanna's couldn't be more obliging if they tried. The made my husband a Coeliac friendly chicken sandwich from scratch even at the peak time of the day. Emily served and was respectful and patient.
Great coffee also, can't recommend more of I tried...
Next time we're through Melbourne Airport we will be going to Hanna,,'s for sure.
