I came here for breakfast on a Tuesday in July. The space had lots of natural light and was clean. Strong A/C too. I mentioned I need gluten-free options, and the owner gave an excellent overview. It was clear they had put a lot of thought into accommodating customers with this food sensitivity. I had a decaf iced Americano coffee and a loaded strata. It had bacon and sausage on top of egg and was covered in gruyere cheese. Tasty! It also came with fresh fruit and a side of gluten-free toast. When I was finished I felt satisfied and well cared for. One of the best breakfasts I had while visiting Springfield.

The drive thru service wasn’t working so I placed my order at the first window. Simple order: regular black coffee and a gluten free muffin. The cashier hardly gave me the time of day, only to give me the total on my order. I picked up the order at the second window without even a thank you. I got halfway across town before taking a drink of the coffee, allowing it to cool somewhat, and was glad to be at a stoplight so I could spit it out. My black coffee was loaded with cream and sugar. I immediately called to ask if I could take it to the westside location to get the correct order, since that was much closer to my next appointment where I was going. After waiting on hold about five minutes, while still progressing toward my westside appointment, I was told no, but they would write down my name and I could get it tomorrow. I waited until I got to the office to try the muffin. It was absolutely the worst tasting gluten free muffin I’ve ever had. One bite and it also went in the garbage. I see it this way, that’s probably the worst $7.68 I’ve ever spent. Never again.

Delicious gluten-free options, with high-quality ingredients. The chocolate mass cheesecake is wonderful! I look forward to supporting this local bakery when I need something sweet and GF.

A smaller Wal-Mart, even though labeled as a super center. Yet clean and well organized. We do most of our shopping at Walmart because my husband and I travel full time in an RV, motorhome, around the country. Stores are mostly set up in similar fashion, but most importantly, they carry the items we most use or need. From dairy to gluten free products, produce, health and beauty, and finally specialized items for RV.
