Gorgeous pub, with a quiet upstairs area with lots of comfy nooks and seats; an outside terrace which is a wee sun-trap, lovely atmosphere and great landlords Fred & Alice really welcoming.
Loads of themed nights in their calendar too, and music selection carefully crafted. (And it’s a pub where you can hear yourself and your mates without having to shout!)
Great selection of beers and wines including Gluten Free options. Can’t wait for the vegan food menu to be launched next month. A real find, minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the Lanes. Lovely.
Really yummy and affordable tasting menu - especially impressed they could do a vegetarian coeliac version and the pasta was really good quality for gluten free. Also nice local wine, and all the staff were super friendly!
What can I say! Fantastic restaurant. I am gluten free and had an amazing dining experience. Wine was superb (bottle in the picture, really recommend) and the service is unmatched, really lovely friendly staff.
Went twice, 1st time we were late for breakfast but they still did my wife poached eggs on gluten free toast.
2nd time we got there in time for breakfast. Very good food.
It is an excellent location in the middle of the south lanes jewelry quarter.
13 of us booked Village after a couple of us ran the Marathon.
The restaurant was very busy but we were allocated a really nice spot at the end of the restaurant where we could all be together.
Even though the place was packed due to the Marathon, the service was excellent.
When the food arrived we could not have been happier - the roasts were DELICIOUS!
We had a gluten free vegan with us and they could not have been more accommodating. The nut roast was equally as good as the lamb / beef - superb!
We had a great meal and a top notch experience at Village.
Came here for bottomless brunch for the Second time. Pizzas are excellent. My non Gluten base was one of the best I've had. Lots of toppings with great cheese. Best bit is there are several different drinks- different mimosas and elderflower fizz and the server keeps bringing jugs. So no waiting at the bar. If you come in a large group then share pizzas as their oven is small and pizzas come out at different times.
Server was very friendly. Very cool place. Best for bottomless brunch if you like pizza.
