Totally fine red robin. Ordered pickup, food was ready in time. Slightly burnt burger on the edges, but it ended up tasting fine.
Gluten free buns available for burgers, which is nice.
I have a gluten allergy, so when I see that restaurants acknowledge gluten and gluten friendly foods in their menu I usually assume it is a safer place to eat. My meal came with a side of fries and since the fries themselves were not on the menu anywhere on their own for me to see if it had the gluten friendly symbol on it, I asked the server if they were gluten free and they confidently said yes. Once I got home I started feeling sick and searched for the allergen menu online only to find that the fries specifically say they contain wheat. Please take allergen training for employees more seriously.
I had the Terminator Pizza that was gluten free crust and it was amazing I showed no signs of cross contamination days after . Tomato Joes has always felt very safe and employees are knowledgeable.
Hostess should learn how to greet customers with a smile.
Food arrived, but server did not come by to check on the orders. The gluten sensitive cheeseburger came wrapped in a cold lettuce leaves missing cheese, with a super thin slice of tomato, one tiny thin slice of pickle and a few shreds of red onion. Served on a cold aluminum plate it got cold within minutes. Meat was cooked through, but because it was almost cold and not enough of tomato nor pickle, and missed cheese, it did not taste well. I pointed out to the server my dissatisfaction, but the bill was only reduced by the cost of the cheese. Very disappointing. Used to be a very nice place to go about 10 years ago. Now it is less quality for more money.
We visited Marston's late one Sunday morning after a memory of a great experience years ago at their Pasadena location. Our diets and preferences have changed a little bit (ie my gluten-free wife was no longer going to order the blueberry pancakes which she remembers as being phenomenal) but we found an extensive menu with lots to choose from, and of course since it's a breakfast menu, we vegetarians had lots of options.
Minor initial disappointment in that the coffee was just okay. A little bit weak for my tastes. I like a super strong coffee and find that many breakfast places which, of course, have coffee, often don't prepare it right and it comes ot you as slightly flavored browned water. This was a little bit better than that, but, again, not as strong as I wanted it to be.
My wife and I both got egg dishes. I had the Just eggs with potatoes and an english muffin. These did the job and gave me the descent diner experience I was looking for. My wife thought the same for her florentine which she got without the English muffin as she is gluten-free.
It would be nice if they offered a gluten-free bread option of any kind.
Our kid had the soyrizo burrito which, even for his teenage metabolism, was generous enough in size that it lasted for 2 meals.
Marston's has a slightly more nicer/upscale vibe than your average diner in town and you can get just about anything you want for breakfast. We glanced at the dinner menu and there are definitely options for vegetarians too so we may give it a try one night!

Happened to be in the area driving around with the doggo on mother's day. Asked a local.friend to recommend a dog friendly brewery and she suggested Luke's. Good call. The hubs is enjoying his beers, and the gluten free (yay!) blueberry hard seltzer cocktail is great. Thanks for thinking of your GF and non-beer drinkers, Luke's. Taco truck - with GF options - onsite.
