Safest place around for those of us with celiac disease. Tons of gluten free options with safety precautions in place. I eat here all the time without getting sick. Large variety of items on the menu.
We were blown away with the quality! Super delicious. TONS of gluten free options!! We got a gf charcuterie board and dip for ~$50, which I think is fair for the quality.
Came in to order takeout for lunch yesterday— Molly killed it! She had to balance the floor (which had a 40+ party in one room alone), the bar, AND takeout. Food was well worth the wait; as a plus, the gluten-free substitutes were high quality.
We have dined in many times and ordered take out. Lots and lots of gluten free options! I love getting the Caesar Salad with Crispy Tenders!! They have a dedicated gluten free fryer.
Amazing service, I did not know they had gluten free items also IPA that is gluten free until server asked me questions and showed me. She is amazing and i recommend coming here. Good food and good happy hour. Half off beers bottles and cans plus wine !!! Can’t go wrong.
Went to Cooper’s Hawk for a date night with my wife. Our server, Paradise, was EXCEPTIONAL. She was extremely attentive and ensured our food was taken care of (we are gluten free). Kinga, the manager, ensured our experience was top notch and we never had to wait for anything. The food was fantastic as well. Based on our service, we will be back!
Thanks Paradise and Kinga for a great experience!
This place has good reviews and the people of Holland recommend it! Maybe I just didn’t order the right thing . We had reservations and were seated quickly , wait staff was friendly . Ample selection of wines and cocktails. I ordered the pretzel crusted chicken sandwhich and I’ll be honest , could not taste the pretzels and it was over cooked and slightly burned. There was a sriracha aioli that didn’t really do it any favors and semi crisp bacon . I will say however the chips and onion dip were fantabulous! Lots of really delicious looking things on the menu and gluten free options .

I have to eat gluten free and my waitress, Nicole, was able to recommend food and drinks for me that kept me safe while also appealing to the rest of my party so we were all able to have and share appetizers, shareables, main dishes, and dessert. Thank you for such a wonderful location to dine at, with wonderful staff like Nicole to expertly advise us on the best dishes and drinks for us all!
I loved dining at Pop's! I am gluten free and dairy free, so wasn't sure if there was much I could eat here. I emailed ahead of time to check, and the executive chef took the time to write back with what menu items I could eat and included any modifications that would be needed. Even offered to come to my table personally to answer any questions, which I thought was super kind. When I did dine in, my dish accidentally came out with cheese on it. The staff were apologetic and quick to make me a new dish. Everyone makes mistakes and the way they handled it was perfect. I will definitely be back!

A lot of gluten free options. Mac & cheese was pretty good but doesn’t reheat that great. Bummer though was by our reservation time they were out of brisket and spare ribs. You also can’t choose your own meats for the combo meals. In my experience, other bbq restaurants have you choose your meats. Pulled pork and sausage were delicious but the ribs I did end up getting were very burnt. Our waitress was quick, but seemed annoyed. Drinks were good. I’d give it another try, but try to go earlier to get the brisket
This is the best gluten-free restaurant I've been to, and I've been coming back for years.
The food is consistently delicious. The quality has never wavered. The staff is always friendly.
I was blown away by the amazing food and service here. My wife and I enjoyed our 11 year anniversary here and they made everything perfect. Food allergies make it difficult to find menus that can accommodate, but the Unicorn Tavern did an outstanding job. They even had a vegan gluten free creme brulee, which is one of my favorite desserts and I don't have any allergies but still loved it all the same. Thanks Unicorn!
Love all the dietary selections - something for everyone! Gluten free available, dairy free available! Vegetarian!
The salsa is so delicious!!
The cocktails are fantastic too!

The gluten free options were very good! They even have dedicated fryers, GF gravy, and GF chicken tenders. Our server, Justin, was very knowledgeable about the GF options and very helpful. The kimchi was also good! Overall a great experience!
Good pub with a nice burger and fries. Service was a bit lacking, though nice.
- Big Easy: Half pound standard burger ordered medium and got it medium. The burger was juicy and cooked the way I like it. The rest of the burger was fairly plain and not much else to write home about. The cheese was not melted much. I saw it had mustard and no ketchup, so I freaked and asked them for ketchup instead of mustard which they did.
I thought the burger was a little overpriced compared to the many of the other places I have visited in the area. If it were that good, I wouldn’t have a problem paying the price, but it was too plain to charge $16 and only get chips.
- Fries: I upgraded to the fries. They were again fairly plain, but done right. They are medium sized steak fries with a good fluffy center and medium softer outer skin. They stayed warm until the end and were cooked just right.
- Crispy Brussels Sprouts: WOAH! Powerful taste. There are several well balanced flavors that were nonetheless screaming for attention on this dish. I do like brussel sprouts and these were great, but a bit too much.
That said, the parmesan was added as large shavings rather than grated which gave a great texture. The bacon is always a nice touch. The sherry gastrique was very sweet and powerful. There was a sour flavor to it as well that hits you at first, but settles down as you become acquainted with the initial shock. I liked it and it is worth trying. You’ll have to be the judge, though. It is a unique flavor.
Not on the menu, but they have gluten free buns. Also, their Barnyard Burger was listed apart from the other burgers and I missed it. Their menu needs a bit of organization.
They also have Shepherd’s Pie. Maybe I’ll come back and try that some time.
They also list specials on their website. They are mostly drinks, though. I do see occasional specials for food listed on their Facebook page.
- Service: We were greeted at the door immediately and seated at a booth at our request. However, that is where it seemed to go downhill. We looked over our menu and were ready to order and waited a good while (it was NOT that busy). Finally, I ended up sticking my head into the isle and being served by someone who wouldn’t have served us otherwise. Waters were finally brought (though never refilled) and our orders were taken. When served, it did come in a timely fashion, though. Paying also took a while. We had the credit card on the table for a good 5 minutes or more waiting to pay.
BEWARE: The tip by default is 25% when paying by credit card. I didn’t notice until it was too late, especially since we were trying to get out as soon as possible since it was taking too long. I would NOT have tipped that much for our experience. Lesson learned.
- Atmosphere: The booths have hard wooden backs, but cushioned seats (a bit worn, but not bad at all). The wood is warn down I think on purpose. It gives it that old-world feel they boast of. I felt like we were in Ireland or Scotland. There is a decent amount of old-world decor and the main of the inside is dark wood. It was overall comfortable in spite of the wooden backs.
The music playing in the background was almost imperceptible. I could not hear it unless I really listened for it. Talking to my wife was not an issue and I appreciated that.
The bathrooms were a tad small, but were okay. My wife mentioned the women’s room was a bit unclean, but I didn’t think the men’s room was bad.
To call this place a “gastropub” (according to their Google Maps description) I think is a bit of a stretch. I think it is more of a pub with a slightly greater emphasis on the food than a pub. Maybe somewhere in the middle. I am guessing they have been around for almost 14 years (November 5, 2010 according to their Facebook page).
Visited on a Friday night 7-8 PM. It was not terribly busy for a Friday and there were plenty of staff on hand from what I saw. Even a couple of the cooks came out for a few minutes.

GET THE GLUTEN FREE CAULIFLOWER CRUST!!! The staff were very knowledgeable and even made suggestions on what other gluten free people, like myself, tried and loved. The cauliflower crust was amazing and my glutenized parter said he couldn’t tell the difference between this crust and a regular thin crust. I waited to write a review until the next day so I would know if I was contaminated or not. I came here to tell you that I feel great!!!
Our car enthusiast group had an ideal dedicated room for dinner dining. We enjoyed the spacious windows overlooking the lake, very fun seaside décor with a fireplace and excellent service. Upon entering our room, a beverage table with lemon tea, coffee and other offerings was prepared just for us. A group of polite hostesses greeted each one of us. was all spectacularly awesome! Kind and attentive bartenders were all amazing. I recommend the Bruschetta appetizer, and Steak & Shrimp for a main entree! All were wonderful!!
I had ordered the Salmon Salad, had a nice balance of dressing and the salmon was really tasty. It was quality salmon, neither over done or under done. The accompanying bread was exceptional. Gluten free items are on the menu and desserts are excellent. They serve delicious American cuisine, and provide an unforgettable ambiance the reflect the water, boating, sailing and ships.
It was too cool that evening for dining on the patio, but I’d like to go back and take that in. The outdoor patio was spacious and looks like a quality experience. You can do pickup, delivery, or dine in. Definitely, make a reservation ahead of time to not be disappointed.
We were impressed with how many seating options are available, several rooms in addition to ours. Thanks to RedWater Restaurants for this delightful waterfront dining option. We had no problem finding parking and pre-arrangements were easy and our meal order was perfectly fulfilled. Restrooms are spacious and luxurious. They gave our group ample staff when did exceptionally great at serving everyone very quickly.
This place is highly recommended by our table.
What in the world happened, BJs?? Normally, you're one of my favorite places to eat! That's actually why we chose this restaurant - being from out of town, and your restaurant right near where we're staying, we thought, "Hey! We love BJ's! Let's go get a great meal tonight!" Yeah, no.
Our waitress was fantastic, so no complaints there. She knew the menu inside and out, and was kind, friendly, attentive. Five stars for her.
But the food? Nope.
* cold soup
* dry beef on the wedge salad
* over cooked tortilla chips with the quac and salsa
* quac was brown (yuck!)
* over toasted gluten free bun (that I had to pay extra for!)
* dry chicken
* chicken was sliced on my "burger" (What is that?? Just leave it whole.)
* Seriously? Kraft sliced American cheese? No. I strongly urge you to spring for some actual American cheese.
* cold, almost raw broccoli (as my side)
CLEARLY, our meal was less than amazing. Did it fill our bellies? Sure. But it was absolutely not enjoyable.

Monelli's is nice whether you like a sports bar for a quieter Italian restaurant because they have two sides with very different atmospheres serving the same food. It would have been nicer for my wife if they had some gluten-free options, but hey it's bar food with a little Italian. You have to expect gluten at a place like that.

The restaurant was very busy and it took a while to be seated. Our food came out in a timely manner though. They offer several gluten free options which is great. I had an eggplant parmesan sandwich. Everything was great but most of the eggplant was tough. Otherwise the sandwich was delicious.

My daughter had the chicken parmigiana and it was fantastic. I had the brisket bacon cheeseburger and I loved it, too. The gluten free pepperoni pizza is exactly like the frozen ones from Costco. Avoid at all costs. The French fries were perfectly cooked. The hostess took a full four minutes to greet us; the stand was empty. The waiter was average. The space itself is open and pleasant.
This was fresh and delicious… I’m gluten free so I didn’t eat the bread that comes with it, but it smelled amazing and my mom said it was. My bowl was delicious, I got steak and chicken and both were Yum! Will be back.
The place was really nice and our server was an absolute sweetheart. Food was delicious and some of the appitizer portions were pretty big for the price and they had gluten free options which are a concern for me in every restaurant

$10 bowling p/hour (from AM to 5 pm) and $10 appetizers (happy hour, 2-5pm)!!!🎳
This place is amazing! If you are picturing a dark and musty bowling alley, this is NOT it. The entire building is almost all windows, so there was so much light. The set up is also classy and clean.
Also...their appetizers. Omg. Highly recommend what we ordered: the mediterranean nachos with beef shwarma and tabbouli, deliciously seasoned steak bites on ciabbata with an awesome sauce, and the boom boom shrimp, gluten free.
Sarah was such a wonderful, available, and kind hostess, making us feel so welcomed.
Everytime we come here it’s an amazing experience. Great service, great food. But yesterday was truly the best experience we’ve had here!! The manager Alex was so kind and took the time to chat with us about our visit despite the restaurant being busy. It was also refreshing to see a manager jump in and help out the staff when it got super busy. Our waitress Kelly was absolutely incredible. Super friendly and very very helpful!!!!! I have celiac and she made sure every ingredient of the dish I was eating was safe for me to eat. She really went above and beyond!!!! By far our best experience here. Our favorite restaurant! Our bar tender was amazing too.
Waiter was: blatantly disregarding celiac needs, confused about allergies, irritated when asking about allergies or food modifications, didn't listen for orders. Menu was not as expansive as the East Lansing location either having no gluten free and vegan options for allergies. Waiter was rude about allergy needs and needing to modify items. Do not recommend this location.
The hot honey margarita and dill pickle pizza were fantastic. We got the gluten free pizza crust and it was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised that they make it in house.
Such an AMAZING coffee shop! The BEST barista was so accommodating and friendly. We had a huge order with nine specialty drinks and each one was perfect. The espresso was bold and clean. A definite must stop for anyone who is looking for good quality coffee and a chill atmosphere. Also, very good gluten free options for baked goods. The banana chocolate chip muffins were GF and so tasty! Thank you for a great breakfast!
The waitress really seems to take her job seriously. She was very informative. The restaurant accommodates people who are vegan, have food allergies, or who are gluten free.
We came in as part of harvest host members. They allow us to park on their property in downtown Mount Pleasant. Our server, Andrew, I believe his name was had excellent suggestions for drinks as well as dining. we had the Mountaintown onion, which I do not suggest the Pork Morel entrée which I highly suggest and for dessert we had the gluten-free blackberry cobbler with ice cream. Four drinks he selected for me the Real yard raspberry witches absolutely amazing and the notorious F. I. G. Both I highly recommend.
