It may be a seafood town, but we were drawn in by the smell of curry. Fine choice; best pub curry we encountered in Ireland; and a gluten-free option.
This traditional pub offers a very Irish style atmosphere with a lively, welcoming vibe ideal for those seeking gluten-free dining confidence. The staff's allergy knowledge ensures safe, delicious options, complemented by a great atmosphere and location perfect for all guests.

Good value for the money. Decent portions. Gluten free available. Fish chowder is very rich and creamy, absolutely delicious! And the gluten free bread was gorgeous, soft inside and crispy outside, soooo good, I really recommend it. The goat cheese salad (main) comes with 2 big goat cheese and lots of mixed leaves, carrots, pickled beetroot, nuts, etc. Staff is very friendly. My only suggestion to the place is to have a drinks menu, and change those sharp lights that shines straight to your face to soft ones. Other than that, great experience.
This beautifully furnished restaurant offers a warm, cozy atmosphere blending traditional and kitschy decor, creating a setting that feels both fancy and casual. Its friendly, helpful staff enhance the experience, making it ideal for those seeking gluten-free dining with great ambiance.

We held our wedding reception here at the Brehon and had the most amazing experience. During the months leading up to the wedding Caitriona, Leah and the rest of the wedding team were so accommodating and always on hand for any questions we had. There was no detail too big or too small that we wanted. Their expertise on the timing of the whole day was spot on. They truly made us and our guests feel like VIPs. The menu selections were top class and all the food was excellent! They even had great celiac and vegetarian options. All in all we could not recommend The Brehon enough for a wedding.

We arrived 5 minutes before the kitchen closed and they still gave us dinner without any problem. They had a fairly wide variety of gluten-free options on the menu, they were not indicated, but when you ask the waiters they tell you without problems. It's been a while since I've had such delicious gluten-free fish and chips. They also had a couple of gluten-free desserts listed on the board. Without a doubt, I would repeat the fish and chips.
