The whole Disney package experience. Book early. It opens about two months ahead so be watching for it early and book it first part of your day. It's worth the visit. Great food. Great service. If you're expecting a cheap meal, why are you trying to eat inside of Disneyland at a place that books out two months ahead? The food is worth the price. Well cooked and options for everyone. Gluten free menu has plenty of options. We came in to celebrate my sister's birthday and it was everything we could have wanted.
We visited Disney's California Adventure Park for the first time on 6/8/2023. My son has atypical Celiac Disease and needs to eat a gluten free diet. We were delighted that this park provides some gluten free options so we did not have to haul around all our own food. At the Smokejumpers Grill, my son ate a Gluten-free Double Cheeseburger with two Angus Beef Patties, Smoked Cheddar, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle Slices, and Grilled Onion. We asked for no Sauce and no Bun. The hamburger was served on shredded lettuce, which was fine because my son usually separates hamburgers before eating them. He also had the Crinkle-cut Fries. Now, if you have a citrus allergy, please know that most restaurants in the park sell Cuties® Mandarin Oranges. If you have a citrus allergy like I do, eat lunch or dinner early, before everyone else, so you are not exposed to the citrus scents, and sit far to the left outside so you are upwind and the wind will blow the citrus scent away from you. If you have 25+ allergies like me, this is a great restaurant to sit at because its closer to the park entrance. I cannot eat out due to the long allergy list, so I have to keep my food in the lockers by the entrance. From this restaurant I was able to head off to the lockers, get out my packed allergy friendly food, come back and sit with my family to eat, and then put all my items back in the locker before heading out for more rides. This was the only allergy friendly restaurant close enough to the lockers for me to eat a meal with my family.
My visit to the Hungry Bear Restaurant in Disneyland was quite enjoyable, despite the hustle and bustle typical of a busy theme park. While the atmosphere was a tad chaotic, which is to be expected, the efficiency of the staff impressed me.
Despite the long lines, we swiftly found seating, placed our order, and received our food promptly, all prepared just as we requested. I recommend the burger, chicken tenders, and onion rings – delicious choices!
Plus, it's worth noting their gluten-free options, catering to various dietary needs. Overall, the Hungry Bear Restaurant did a commendable job of providing a satisfying dining experience amidst the excitement of Disneyland. Four stars well-deserved!
Wonderful experience. My daughter is gluten intolerant and they made her feel like she was VIP! The chef came out and gave her a tour of what she could eat and offered her a specialized menu where she can order her own pizza just for her. Overall great food and wonderful service! Definitely recommend!!!
This was our family’s favorite place for lunch in the parks. Plenty of options and we got the Low and Slow club standard and gluten-free option. I would have ate this every day for lunch if I had known it would have been best sandwich in park. Also highly recommend the chili mango margarita it was best cocktail our entire time in Anaheim. Several options for food for kids and refreshments for adults when things get stressful. This is a must stop eatery in Cars Land!!
This is a good place for a quick burger or strips. It was fast and there are lots of tables to sit at.
My sister liked the gluten free burger and their chicken strips were yummy!
Staff were friendly.
We had a great experience here! Cafe was clean and lots of seating for a big crew, lots of food options. We had some in our party that have dietary restrictions and they even had options for them such as gluten free pancakes (which were delicious)! We wanted really good coffee after having terrible coffee every morning at our hotel , and we all agreed it was awesome coffee!!! That alone is worth 5 stars. Service was quick and easy to order and brought to your table. The staff are super helpful and friendly and as a tourist looking for a good breakfast place I would go back here again.
This is a GREAT Islands with excellent service every single time we go! The food is extremely consistent and we are plantbased and gluten free and they can accommodate our crazy dietary needs. The only thing that keeps us from going more often is that it's close to $40.00 for 2 burgers and 2 drinks which is a little high....for burgers. But they are delicious so we see it as a "splurge". Christian is a terrific manager and I believe our last server was Matt who is exceptional as well. All in all, great place with consistently good food and service!
All in all, it’s pretty decent. It’s good for a Disney restaurant. The food was flavorful for sure. But here are a few points I feel would elevate the experience: 1) Warn people about spicy meals. We got the Brussels and we’re still feeling the hurt the next day 2) Provide actual gluten free alternatives besides noodles. Most Disney restaurants claim they are gluten allergy friendly but what that really means is there’s rabbit food alternatives. Not true gf food.
3) The service was decent. They sure walk around a lot but not always tending to the table like you’d expect at an upscale place. It felt like high end Schwan’s food. And I’ve kids meat skewers were severely undercooked. They did refund one of them.
All in all it’s a nice escape from the hustle of the day. But the food isn’t what you’d expect for the price.
The Gluten Free Ratatouille was INCREDIBLE!! The staff were very well prepared for allergies, and the chef even came to our table to talk to us about how they prep the meals, and the ingredients used! My wife who has a diary allergy got the beef short rib and I can’t say enough good things about the Ratatouille! You have to try all of the different drinks themed after Disney and Pixar movies! A must try, and do it at bedtime for your kids when they’re napping and you can enjoy the sunset on the Pixar Pier :)
I’ve eaten here a couple times for small treats, the grey stuff is actually delicious, but not gluten free.
My sister who has celiacs disease has had breakfast here. She had the bonjour breakfast with the gluten free substitutions.
Staff were friendly and accommodating. It came with a warm bun and was very yummy!
This place is an awesome Tiki experience, with some great drinks and a wonderful atmosphere. Food offerings were also great and they could accommodate my partners gluten allergy.
My wife and I went here for our anniversary dinner and it was very delicious. The chef was very accommodating to my wife's gluten allergy and the stuff was very helpful and friendly.
I really enjoyed their take on the Caesar salad, and their breakfast, especially the tater tots is good.
They have their breakfast platter with a gluten free option that my sister with celiacs really enjoyed also.
There is lots of seating and service is quick and friendly.
I didn’t enjoy the giant chocolate bar.
