Most amazing gluten free bread, pastries and sweets I’ve ever eaten. Owners take time to know their customers and all staff are lovely. I could not recommend this place enough. I’ve been going for 2 years and travel 2 hours to refill bread and treats
Had high hopes for Sebastien Sans Gluten after hearing great things, but my visit on 7/6/25 was pretty underwhelming.
I picked up a meat pie, sausage roll, cheese pastry, and a loaf of bread. The cheese pastry was alright, but the rest were a letdown.
Bread: Really undercooked in the middle – sticky and doughy – with a super hard crust. It was hard to even slice, and you could see the sticky dough clinging to the knife and edges.
Pie & Sausage Roll: Both had undercooked pastry. The pie filling was decent, but the sausage roll was odd – strange texture, not much flavour except fennel, and just not enjoyable.
Altogether it came to just over $50, which felt steep for the quality. Left pretty disappointed and won’t be going back.
What an amazing find! My daughter is a Coeliac and it was lovely to dine at a restaurant which is 100% gluten free. Staff are lovely. Food is amazing! We will back!
My partner and I always go t OK Samuel Pepys wenever we visit Launceston, as we know the whole menu (which is very extensive) she is able to have (Lactose and Gluten Free). Food, service and atmosphere is always top notch. Can't recommend highly enough. Especially for people who have the battle of finding places that cater for allergies.
As a very sensitive Coeliac, I had a delightful recent experience at Dovetail Social. The food was tasty and beautifully prepared. I highly recommend the gluten free waffle, with fried chicken, bacon and maple syrup!
I have dined here a few times, the Chai is nice... but thats where it ends. I am tired of eating my meal and having someone sweeping around me, This has happened on every occasion and even after asking for this not to be done while we are eating it continues. They are all proper about being Gluten free but have little regard for others with allergies.
If you've got coeliac disease (or even if you haven't), you've got to come here. Absolutely everything on the menu and in the cabinet is gluten-free and tastes delicious. I highly recommend the chilli crab master. My matcha latte tasted great, too. I also grabbed a cinnamon bun cookie for later, but I'm regretting not trying the cherry, lemon and coconut slice - it looked divine.
Rick's place is an absolute gem!
We recently visited and had the most amazing night!
The food was exceptional with delicious options that cater for lots of different dietary requirements.
We needed gluten, dairy and onion free, and had the first dining experience where this was "too easy" and we felt like the inclusion and not exclusion.
Rick and Andy are warm, friendly, attentive and genuinely thoughtful, making us all feel so welcome. They take so much pride in providing a fantastic dining experience for all.
Couldn't recommend Rick's Place enough!
Looking forward to our next visit!
Really good gluten-free bread.
It lasts me pretty much the whole week and stays fresh for 6–7 days, which is almost a miracle in the gluten-free world.
Tastes great, holds up well, and doesn’t turn into a brick after two days.
Highly recommended.
This place is quite a blessing, bringing amazing gluten free options out into the west! I’m talking fresh pies, bread loaves, cakes and baked goods AND frozen GF goods + gluten free shelf items!!! Give a gold star for the best lamb and rosemary pie and the deliciously moist vegan chocolate mud cake!
Customer service was good. All sweet items tasted like early 2000s gluten free cooking. Weird aftertaste and tastes a like a lot of baking soda. We’ve come so far for gluten free food and this just felt like a step back in time. Meat pie and sausage roll were alright.
Whilst it is expensive, the bread is beautiful, along with the pasties.
The sausage rolls are good just a little oily. Cakes are like I remember them when I wasn't a coeliac.
cute Japanese gluten free cafe
Loved their vege tempura noodles! Really fresh ingredients and clear but flavorful broth
They also have mochi, donuts, sushi rolls, onigiris to choose from
Cute little place, defiantly book if wanting a table inside as small sitting area
Very cosy and well priced for the quality of the food is out of this world!! Will defiantly be heading back
Delicious food in a great location for our lunch stop on the way to Canberra. We chose to stop at Truly Free Bakehouse becuase my mum is a Celiac. The rest of the family thought we'd be making a sacrifice for her enjoyment at a 100% GF bakery, but we were WRONG. It was snitzel burgers all round and they came out quickly, steaming hot, crisp and mouth-wateringly scrumptious. As a gluten eater I couldn't tell the bun, crispy and light, was gluten-free. The snitzel was perfection. Honestly. One of the best ever. AND... they didn't over do the mayonnaise. We paid $13.5 for each and the size was generous and sensibly cut in half for easy consumption. My mum couldn't resist picking up a raspberry and white chocolate muffin for the road and was pleasantly surprised that it was also one of the best ever, even compared to gluten ones. Plenty of seating, friendly staff, and so much choice for people who usually have very little. Thanks Truly Free Bakehouse for existing and bringung joy to our lives and our tastebuds.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5 – A Hidden Gem with Something for Everyone!
Absolutely loved this little café! One of the standout features is the huge range of options, seriously, there’s something for everyone. They even have separate gluten-free and plant-based menus, which made choosing so much easier and inclusive for all diets.
Now, let’s talk food, the chipotle chat potatoes were an easy 10/10. Perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, soft inside, and packed with just the right amount of smoky heat. Honestly couldn’t have been better. I’d go back just for those.
I also tried the Ginger Ninja juice, fresh, zingy (not too zingy), and super refreshing. Exactly what you want in a juice: balanced, punchy, and not too sweet.
Service was super quick, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had a relaxed, easygoing vibe. The location is convenient, and prices are more than fair for the quality and variety on offer.
Highly recommend checking this place out whether you’re after a quick bite, a hearty plant-based meal, or just want some standout potatoes. Will definitely be back!
Anyone with coeliac disease this place is a must. Extremely knowledgeable about coeliac disease and cross contamination and for once my toddlers had a wide variety of dishes to choose from so thank you for making my kids days with the gf pancakes!
This will be our go to spot every time we’re in the mountains.
10/10 food and coffee and staff were so friendly. Highly recommend!
Positive happy staff, delicious food and always a welcoming experience and a great range of delicious gluten free options. We love eating here, thank you👌🙌
Wonderful shop, wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere. The bread must be made in-house because I've never had any gluten free bread like it. As a coeliac, I cannot recommend this place enough!
