We really enjoyed it and it tasted great. đ According to my daughter, it was the best gluten-free pizza she's ever eaten. đ
Everything was top-notch, keep it up. đ
We'd love to come back when we're in the area. âïž
Gluten-free pancakes... what?!?
Super delicious and a great cappuccino to go with it.
A service charge applies. But that's the case throughout Venice.
You can also have breakfast starting at 7:30... gluten-free options are also available.
Terrible tasteless food very overpriced. Both gluten free and gluten full foods a travesty as not resembling true venetian or italian dishes we have had elsewhere. Eg hard rubbery polenta as opposed soft fluffy creamy cloud. Yet they charge top dollar. Gluten free tiramisu bitter and inedible. Would recommend stay away and eat at nearby restaurants which are better, friendlier and worth money
Went here for the gluten free options. The pizza and pasta were fantastic. This was the best gluten free food we had while on our vacation. On top of this, the service was brilliant. The waiter was very helpful with the allergen side of things. We recommend this restaurant for any gluten free people in Venice (and those who arenât GF as well of course)!
Booked for two, dinner. Warm welcome, excellent table facing the sea, nice atmosphere. Well prepared food (also gluten free, see photo), decent wine by the glass. Two unsolicited suggestions (I apologize but I have to make them): 1. do not charge for anything not explicitly ordered â the gluten-free schiacciata was brought as part of the service charge, i.e. together with the bread... hence the appearance that it is included in the service charge... ambiguous and to be avoided (it is not a question of money, even if it cost 1 euro the concept does not change: clarity); 2. the sauces for the fried squid and calamari should be proportionate to the quantity of the dish â the latter is OK (see photo 2), but even eating a little pro-squid sauce, after three calamari the sauces are finished... (unpleasant to ask for extra). Good and kind service; make sure not to confuse "seriousness" and formality of the table service; the second can go, if you really want, the "seriousness" not if at the expense of the pleasure and informative effectiveness of the interaction. In short, perfectible in the details but certainly recommended.
Amazing little place.. tucked away is beautiful little outside eating area.
Travelling with a gluten free passenger proved difficult in many place being offered only fish or nothing. This place wasn't short of brilliant. By far the best menu we came across.
Portions were very generous.

We had pizza and pasta, staff is very knowledgeable about gluten free processes and everything is made separately.
Posting this review to aid other coeliac persons with this information, approval from a doctor with coeliac disease.
Excellent experience for Easter lunch. Menu with well-executed specialties (including gluten-free) accompanied by excellent wines. Very well-organized table service... 5 well-deserved stars. A guarantee for those who have the pleasure of stopping in this location.
Thank you for accommodating my allergies to gluten, egg and dairy. Finally, a place where I can eat a decent sized breakfast of avocado, smoked salmon toast and fresh juice. It cost 20 Euros.

After a few days in Venice, I finally found a restaurant that serves gluten free pasta, even though it isnât advertised in their menu. GF pizza dough is also available. Tastes delicious & served promptly!
We had an amazing time at Restaurant Guna. Our server Enzo and the owner/rest of the staff was attentive and nice! With a gluten allergy in our group they were very accommodating. All around a great time/ atmosphere/ service!
It's a pity that we discovered this place on the last day of our stay in Venice. Good food at a very good price. What was important to us, they have a gluten-free option. In addition, great service, very nice and warm people.
fantastic experience!!!
small but super welcoming place, very kind owner.
lots of variety, veg, vegetarian, normal and gluten free. fair prices, especially for the quantity and quality.
I will definitely come back bringing some friends,
Thanks Pepe.
A must for us when we are in the area as our daughter requires gluten free food.
She loves the cheeseburgers in Italy, even if they are shrink-wrapped and heated by SchÀr.
It would be nice if there was a larger selection of gluten-free burgers. However, we are happy about this offer because there are no gf burgers in Germany.
It is very nice to sit in the terrace area.
Ristobar San Polo is definitely worth the stop! The workers are incredibly kind and friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. My favorite is that they offer gluten free items, such as gluten free lasagna! They offer indoor or outdoor seating, and I believe they do to-go.
We ate creamed cod, spaghetti with squid ink and Venetian-style liver with organic polenta. It was all delicious. Pay attention to the gluten-free dishes. Kindness and courtesy from everyone and Vittorio made us feel at home. Highly recommended in Venice!
It really goes by its name, the food was very very good, just the portions are small. The gnocchi is one of the best I've ever tasted. Also recommend the bigoli.
Also a very good gluten free option.
Good morning,
We made a reservation for the evening of September 28 several days in advance, specifying that we were allergic to gluten.
We showed up in the evening specifying our allergy again and the waiter told us that we could eat the whole menu and that they would accommodate. We are quite surprised.
A second waiter comes to our table, and we talk to him again about our allergy, and he tells us that no, we can't eat everything. We order the dishes with his help, trusting this server.
What a mistake... We both spent a sleepless night with severe abdominal pain. At 5:30 a.m., not sleeping because of the pain, I send an email to the restaurant explaining that we are both sick and I look for an explanation.
I've been waiting for a response for two weeks in vain... It's the least I can do to at least respond when you make people sick and apologize...
Gluten allergy is not a fad, nor a game, we had very severe pain for four days...
If you have allergies, run away...
We ate several days before in Venice restaurants "Gluten Free" displayed on the front and we tolerated everything well and it was excellent.
Favor these if you want to be sure....
Tidy place, very friendly staff.
You order at the cashier and when it's ready you are notified via display and speaker.
Very good products and generous portions, pizza with gluten-free dough really very good.
Never did I think I;d go to Venice for Mexican food! What a great venue and it was consistently busy the whole time we were there.
As a coeliac there was a few different options for me which was great, gluten free options are plentiful in Venice, but generally limited to pizza and pasta.
The staff were very good and service was pretty quick.
Excellent food. The calzone was perfect, the dough tender and well-baked. The mozzarella and mushroom filling was very balanced.
My wife ordered spaghetti with seafood, and they made it gluten-free. She completed it with fish and grilled vegetables.
Very good experience ! Best seafood pastas ever ! Great location ! And the waiters answered positively to all our requests, as gluten free pastas! Probably the best restaurant in Burano!
We went on a Saturday evening for a quick dinner before returning home after a day at the beach. What can I say? The staff were very friendly and attentive to the needs of my wife who has celiac disease. They brought us an appetizer free of contaminating products, and as a main course a grilled tuna that was nothing short of sublime! Truly recommended, even for the tables overlooking the beachđ
Excellent bacaro near Rialto! Delicious cicchetti both with and without gluten! For gluten-free, you have to call the day before, but you definitely won't regret it! Advised!
Dont come if you want to eat something gluten free. No gluten free option. They advertised a gluten free croissant, but when you are at the cashier and ask for one, there say they run out of it.
Apart from that, its very expensive for what you get, even the normal options with gluten. Bad service.
The location of the restaurant is splendid, right in Campo San Giacomo, in a very quiet area. We ate in the internal garden, which I recommend, more private, but still outdoors. Excellent food, possibility to choose various Gluten free dishes. We had pasta with squid ink and spaghetti with clams in a gluten free version. Everything excellent. Generous portions.
Excellent bistro, especially for those with celiac disease: great attention to gluten-free dishes, with dedicated fryer and pots, avoiding contamination. The dishes are of excellent quality and well prepared. Prices a little high, but understandable given the splendid location. Highly recommended!
We found this place by chance. What a great find! Firstly, I have never eaten such tasty spaghetti vongele. Very fresh and tasted divine. Secondly, my husband had a gluten free pasta, which he says was delicious and of course so important for him to have his dietary requirements catered for. The service was so friendly and kind. I wish I lived nearer so I could come and eat here more often. Well done to all in this restaurant.
I WISH ALL BREWERES WERE LIKE THIS!
I've been to several places and it's never happened to me:
- To have all this choice of dishes. Piadine, sandwiches, Mexican, appetizers, toasts, clubs, pizzas, salads, first courses, second courses... It took us 10 minutes just to see the whole menu
- TO HAVE A SECTION DEDICATED TO VEGAN AND VEGETARIAN PROPOSALS. Moving.
- To have a section dedicated to GLUTEN-FREE proposals.
- To have at least 20 beers to choose from.
- To have a place both outside and inside.
- To also have proposals for large groups.
- To have televisions everywhere.
- Not to pay more than âŹ20 each.
- To eat well. (9 of us left with full and satisfied bellies)
You can also find places with some of these characteristics, but I only found one with all of them.
Very very happy. I will definitely go back if I have the chance.
Beautiful terrace with amazing views. While the food is on the expensive side, it is very good and worth it for the overall experience of the place. They also have gluten-free options available (I had the GF club sandwich pictured)
Excellent food, fantastic and attentive service. Even gluten-free diets were taken into account, and the waiter was very knowledgeable about it (including the risk of contamination). Top-notch.
Gluten-free pizza is not Gid, they don't make the base themselves on site. Went for dinner twice and it's perfectly fine but it's busy and the waiters are stressed. It feels a bit messy with the orders. The second evening one of us got our food when the others at the table had finished eating. It's a mistake that shouldn't happen. During the day when we were on the beach we experienced good dishes at take away.
Small place on the Giudecca with a priceless view and charm in the tables positioned close to the water. Excellent management of gluten-free by Alice, Elena, Alessandra and Denis who managed the matter with quality with uncommon passion and commitment. Various and appetizing gluten-free cicchetti then pizza, of course if you want spritz, wine, beer (or even an almond dessert); in short, a complete proposal with an honest account and excellent quality/price ratio. Absolutely recommended in a city that is not easy for those with "special" dietary needs.
Real review
Amazing food, great selection, and served fast. Reasonable prices and staff who could help my lack of Italian. If you are a coeliac like my wife, be amazed at the taste. I tried her pizza base, tasted like quality bread.
A wonderful surprise and discovery!
I didn't know this place, an extremely inclusive place not far from San Marco.
They have a separate totally vegan menu, and several gluten-free options.
The staff is very kind, and above all competent in matters of intolerances.
We ate a lasagna with radicchio and mushrooms (really creamy and tasty), goulash and a tasting of vegan cheeses and cured meats.
Enjoy the chef's entree and the gluten-free bread basket served hot.
The portions are not abundant and the price is not particularly low, but I think it is the right price for the research and direction of inclusiveness undertaken by the owners.
Finding a restaurant in the heart of Venice where intolerances are not a limit is truly beautiful.
I hope there will also be such inclusive bacari and cicchetterie in the future.
Really recommended!
