We had a wonderful experience at Trattoria. The restaurant was decorated for the Christmas season and a welcome reprieve from a long, cold days walk in the hills. The service was lovely and the pizza was out of this world! I am gluten free and to have gluten-free, handmade dough cooked in a wood fired oven with lots of cheese was superb. I also ordered the tomato and basil salad which was fresh and delicious. The portions were quite large and worth the price. I highly recommend this authentic Italian, family run restaurant.

A chill spot with a cozy vibe, serving up a fantastic breakfast till noon and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
Walked into Bowness to eat, due to the advertisement of gluten free food. Once we went to order they told us that no gluten free food was available due to only one chef being available. If you advertise you have gluten free food, please ensure that there is at least always one gluten free option.

Lovely little cafe. Came here for breakfast twice during our stay in Windermere and loved it both times. Cater well to gluten free diets.
