We make a point to visit Shana Cake every time we are in Topeka. My wife is allergic to gluten and, as a result, we have tried various gluten free bakeries and restaurants all over the world. The cupcakes at Shana Cake are my wife's favorite cupcake out of anywhere we have been and all their other treats are excellent as well.
Great turkey club sandwich. Service was good too. If you're looking for a grilled cheese sandwich of any kind, this is the place to go! Nicely seasoned kettle chips made a great side. There was also an option for gluten free bread.
We stopped here on our cross country trip and so glad we did! This was by far one of the best coffees we had. We got the salted caramel cappuccino and it was brewed perfectly with just enough sweetness without being overwhelming. You could taste the quality of the coffee! Cinnamon roll was scrumptious as well! They even had gluten free bakery options which is hard to find. Plenty of seating. Friendly service. A local gem!
This place is just awesome!!! As someone who is gluten-free, it's always hard to find a good pizza place. This is definitely a good one!!!! Not only that, but I was able to snag a gluten-free cookie they had!!!! I really recommend stopping by this place whether you are GF or not!!!
Always fresh and friendly. Food is very very good. Salad bar is exceptional!! Only place to go for any sandwich. Menu is very large and offer gluten free
I just had a great experience at this location. All of the employees were exceptionally friendly, the lobby was clean, the drink area (clean and tidy) was well-stocked, and my sandwich was so delicious, I HAD to write a review. Keep it up, Schlotsky’s, and thank you for serving the BEST gluten-free bread of any sandwich chain!
We have been big fans of Blue Moose for years. However, every time we do carry out (which has been quite a bit through the Covid Pandemic), we have been disappointed in the quality of the food. Last night we gave it another try and it was the worst yet. My husbands gluten free bun was rock hard, and not edible. He said the burger wasn’t great either, so he only ate half the patty. All the fries were soggy, and my son ate his bun and like two bites out of his patty on his hamburger saying it tasted burnt. Our order took 10 minutes longer than I was quoted over the phone and I was waiting when it was brought to the front to be picked up, so it still should’ve been fresh since my home is about 3 minutes away from the restaurant. We have eaten this same order over the years, so it wasn’t that we weren’t used to the food. It did not appear overly busy inside either. Overall I would just be cautious if ordering it to go. It’s frustrating to spent $50 on a meal no one likes.
I went here for breakfast for the first time. The hash brown scramble bowl was really good! I also had a Greek yogurt parfait. I received my food quickly and had someone ask if they could refill my beverage. They have several gluten free options that I enjoy so that's a bonus!
Great home style breakfast with something for everyone on the menu. They also have gluten-free toast if you have dietary restrictions. Reasonably priced, good service, and a convenient location if you're in downtown Topeka.
We finally got to try the shrimp po boy today! I had the gluten free option and it was fabulous! Tee Box is 1 of our favorite places to eat, everything is delicious and I really appreciate the GF menu! They have the best drinks in town too! Great staff and we love the owners!
Yum. I avoid gluten and when I cheat, I evaluate whether it was "worth it". The cinnamon roll and bierrock were 100% worth it. A proper Midwest cinnamon roll. A very tasty bierrock (dough was great, exactly what I expected, and the filling was great too). I'm very happy. Goodness the cinnamon roll was everything a cinnamon roll should be. 👌
Jaz was phenomenal! The banana bread cocktail was an absolutely delight. It was a smooth cocktail which is a great gluten free option for dessert, when there is no dessert. Loved the jazz music as well!
Very welcoming cozy cafe. Gluten free and vegetarian options. Kind and friendly staff. Portions are on the small side, so keep that in mind when ordering food.
