Eclectic breakfast brunch and lunch spot with good espresso options and a full bar too. I had the smoked salmon benedict on gluten free rye. The presentation and taste were both superb.
The décor in the meti ulously renovated one room schoolhouse is visually inspiring, rustic and whimsical. Loved the large periodic table of éléments, solar system guide and maps on the walls. The vintage homage to Smoky the Bear in the lavatory was also charming.
Struck up a great conversation with a local dîner at the bar. Trish and Joe were welcoming too with great service and wonderful wit.
Old School Cafe is a standout, a charming cornerstone of the Naples dining scene. I look forward to returning for my next meal and chat there.
Their food is outstanding! I love their gluten free options. I've never had a bad meal there. Ordering at the counter was easy and their service was fast and friendly. It's a great little place and you won't be disappointed.
Super long wait (60 minutes at 1p.m. on a Sunday), then when there was an “available” table, the place was half empty and most tables were cleaned. The veggie burger was more like sweet potato mash with cumin on a bun and the fries were soggy and under seasoned and cold. Coffee was served almost at room temperature and we were never offered refills. I had to ask for ketchup, hot sauce, and salt to make my meal palatable. Lunch for 2 with nothing more than coffee and a veggie burger/portobello with no bun (no gluten free options for those with Celiacs) was $38. Pretty terrible dining experience and I felt the need to apologize to my date for suggesting it. The service was friendly but utterly lacking.
