A consistent classic diner breakfast spot with gluten free toast and gluten friendly pancakes available. My go to pick is the Junior Plate, but if really hungry will get the Bacon and Eggs. Tried the Kielbasa Skillet with smoked chicken kielbasa substituting hollandaise sauce for the country gravy and would order this again but rarely since it was rich. The Marionberry syrup is a favorite for pancakes, but they also have sugar free maple syrup available. A great choice for large groups with indoor seating only. All locations are extremely popular and can get busy, but is worth the wait.
Here's a review of a local coffee house bistro:
5++ out of 5 stars ⭐️
I had the pleasure of visiting the Astoria Coffeehouse & Bistro in downtown Astoria. I was thoroughly impressed with the vibes, energy and variety of pastries, including gluten-free options. It felt so warm and welcoming of an atmosphere to enjoy a meal or just a cup of your favorite coffee. The decor was a mix of modern, artsy and internationally acquired pieces. So many different seating areas were available from dark and cozy to warm with plenty of natural light.
They have multiple menu boards to satisfy the daily drip coffee drinker or even the most advanced hot elixir conneseur. Large jugs of fresh water are stationed as soon as you step through the door. And if you’re a bit more adventurous, they also have a chic bar to the left of the service counter. Bar seating is available to enjoy a good conversation with the bartender.
The coffee was top-notch, with a wide variety of flavors and brewing methods to choose from. I opted for my usual drip coffee with cinnamon, cayenne pepper and honey. This is one of the few places that offer that combination of spices to lift the Samurai foodie’s spirit.
The pastry selection was also impressive, with delicious chocolate/almond/ regular croissants, assorted macaroons, muffins and scones. You can even find freshly baked cookies and massive slices of chocolate, carrot or almond cake. It was great to also find many of the pastries were offered with a gluten-free option.
But what really sets this coffee house apart is the bistro menu. I ordered the biscuits & gravy ($10.95) and added a Bacon/egg sanwhich ($6.95). My order came with huge pair of wholesome biscuits from Table 360 Bakery & Bistro and a generous portion of gravy, Yum😋!! My sandwich was stuffed with thick, crispy, smokey bacon, melted cheese and fluffy scrambled eggs. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food and drink.
I highly recommend you to visit them for a relaxing coffee break or a deliciously satisfying meal. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 💫
