The food was fantastic. We ordered 2 different crepes but with buckwheat as one of us have celiacs. They took the allergy seriously which was much appreciated and the food was much better than we expected considering they were suing buckwheat as the alternative. Will definitely be eating here again when we visit. Loved that they are open a little late so when you’re in more of a breakfast for dinner mood they have options available.

I am gluten free and El Cortijo has historically been one of my “safe” restaurants. Some menu changes have made the majority of the menu not safe for gluten free/celiac people, with no gluten free indication or signage on the menu.

So upon our arrival we noticed a great looking place with so many options for gluten free. Once at the register we weren't greeted by the person standing there until I said hello. When ordering I inquired if the cream cheese was gf and I received a "uh probably" and when I requested she ask someone, she huffed and turned with an attitude and asked someone else. If you are going to work with the public then work on your simple manners. And then after ordering she continued to complain about me to a coworker in front of me. I don't recommend the service here was not good.

great experience, every time! i’ve been going here pretty consistently for a few years, and the food and service has always stood out to me. i’m gluten and nut free, and they are very accommodating and willing to help you out. the food is also amazing- the best burger i’ve had!
