1st time here and coming from the Discovery Museum with a nine - and five year old, one adult gluten intolerant and one adult on a salt restrictive diet, this place worked out great. The food was delicious, and our wait person was very patient and kind since this was going to be on separate checks. I personally had the quesadilla stuffed with chicken and grilled vegetables. This was awesome. My wife had a turkey/swiss melt and with a side salad loaded with garlic/parmesan dressing. Absolutely loved it. The rest of our party was happy with their choices. And the Chocolate Cream Pie was rich and dense. Beans & Barely also has a cool little shopping area, plus a very eclectic vibe of customers and employees. Check this place out!

Not great for gluten free. Went for a late lunch with some friends on a weekday thinking it might be safer when less crowded. I told them I had celiac and asked about the toast being toasted with other things. The staff didn't seem to know much, but when I asked them to double check, they did. I asked for a chai latte and they brought me a hot tea with a chai flavored tea bag. At first I thought I just misread the menu but then when I looked again I realized they had chai under hot tea and chai latte and they brought me just hot water and a tea bag. After assuring me they would double check the safety of the toast, my food came out and the toast was placed on top. As I was getting ready to take a bite, the staff came up and stopped me as he had another random plate of toast. He said the toast I had was GF just prepared with other bread. I took it off my plate and decided to skip the toast. Got bacon and eggs and hash browns that was marked GF thinking it would be relatively safe. Unfortunately my stomach started acting up later that day and the next day I broke out in hives. Wouldn't recommend this place for celiac.

Fast service. Very busy between 5pm and 9pm. Probably a 30 to 60 min wait. Put your number in and head across the street to Stubby's for a beer while you wait. Taco Tuesdays/Thursdays are fantastic and you can have a full meal for less than 10. Chips and 3 types of Salsa come automatically. The Tacos are great and they're always adding new ones. Good Mexican fare and a great atmosphere. Lots to choose from. Vegetarian and Gluten Free options.
