The experience at Dolly's was disappointing. Even though the portion doesn't look that small in the picture, I ate a starter and a main course, spent almost $40 and wasn't full! Personally, I found the tzatzik served too sour, but that's a matter of taste, but the fries definitely shouldn't be dark and dry like these were. The service was inattentive and unable to serve my table neighbor gluten-free food, even though it's on the menu.
Based on my current assessment, I would unfortunately not recommend the restaurant.
If you're looking for a super satisfying, higher protein and nutrient dense brunch alternative to Eggs Bennie or Crepes...this was insanely delicious! Eggs, ham, avocado, mushrooms, wilted spinach, tomatoes I had mine on a gluten free bun! The Egg Delight 10/10 I will definitely be coming back for this again.
I thought The Crest was a good place for atmosphere, service, and food.
I was proven wrong. My first time dining here was amazing. I thought I would have time to take a picture once the food came out, but by the time I remembered, my plate was clean.
The staff was also extremely friendly and attentive. We received the best service you could get from any restaurant you could visit in Prince Rupert. The chef even came out to speak with us!
It is a bit pricy with their more expensive dishes around $20+ (I paid $28 for my dish), but for the flavourful food, service, and experience, it's worth it.
If you're looking for vegetarian options, there are a few menu items that may fit your dietary needs. There are also a couple of gluten-free options if you're looking for that as well.
This restaurant is constantly changing to improve their dishes. Their portions are perfect, and it's quite filling to eat here. We ended up with some leftovers, which we were able to take home.
There are also events hosted by this restaurant that you should ask about if you plan on visiting.
For anyone still on the fence, I highly recommend this restaurant. You could not get this experience anywhere else.
(review was edited to add more info... I was still unable to get a picture of our dishes. It's that good)
I stayed in the Crest Hotel that the Waterfront Restaurant is attached to.
Every night I had the opportunity to sit overlooking the water.
The servers were all great, did feel abit rushed a couple of meals. The restaurant wasn't even full.
Food here it great! The have a great variety of meals. Pasta, vegetarian, some gluten free, steaks, hamburgers, fish and chips, seafood dishes, salads, chicken wings, etc.
They have a happy hour for those who drink.
