good vegetarian choices. Gluten free. Drinks are Amazing! The plaza has parking spaces. Good professional waiters and waitresses. For me it is the best place to go relax , have a healthy dessert low in sugar and Delicious. I love the veggie burger but they also have regular meat sandwiches. I Strongly recommend it. 5 stars. Pastrata is amazing! Truly the best margarita I’ve ever had in my life, so refreshing! The owner Pastrata and his dog are so friendly. I have a gluten allergy and Pastrata was so accommodating and have multiple gluten free options (almost the whole menu!) which is rare to see even in the US. This restaurant was in walking distance from our AirBnb and was so clutch during our time in DR. They are very aware of Gluten allergies and cross contamination and they do make your pizza separately in a separate area. The pricing is also very decent. The pizza was actually pretty good and my friends who are not gluten free tasted the pizza and also enjoyed it.

I absolutely loved their waffles, so much that I went back twice during my week-long stay in Cabarete. However, the last visit was a disappointment. I ordered a waffle with dulce de leche, they gave me chocolate instead. I complained, and they told me they didn’t have dulce de leche. I wondered why they didn’t tell me upon ordering. A minute later, they brought a waffle with dulce de leche to the other person I was eating with, who had ordered the same thing but not gluten free. I complained again, and without much consultation they took my waffle to remake it (bringing me the dulce de leche would’ve been fine). A long wait later, once the other person I was eating with had finished their waffle, they brought me the dulce de leche waffle. The dulce de leche was all liquid (see image). I complained again, and they gave me an explanation about how the dulce de leche is prepared, and brought me dulce de leche of the right consistency as a side. My second waffle at this point was all soggy, and it turns out they DID have what I had originally ordered. The watermelon juice also tasted a little bit rotten. I ended up leaving and grabbing breakfast elsewhere. I hope the staff is able to take this comment as constructive feedback and figure out how to avoid these kinds of customer experiences moving forward, because overall their concept and the atmosphere are fantastic.

Interestingly, they also have grain bowls, which we did not try but good for gluten free or vegetarian.
