I love this place! Being gluten free and vegan is hard in the US and even harder in Mexico. This store has many pastries and desserts, not all are vegan and gluten free, but I found several options when I went! I had pan, muffins, cinnamon rolls, hand pies, and cake.
They also have vegan cheese and gluten free tortillas (made from nopales!). Many grocery items are available, like milks, flours, cookies, nuts, popsicles, etc.
The employees are great, too. They helped me find the gluten free items. I didn't speak much Spanish and the lady I talked to didn't speak much English, but she was really nice and we made it work!
I didn't have the chance to eat at the restaurant part of it, but I definitely will next visit.
I ate a vegan burger and was one of the best I’ve ever had. Their gluten free is unbelievable good.
The lady serving us was very nice and chill with my tons of questions (I have many food restrictions) I’d definitely go back.
For about $25 USD, I got a piece of flourless chocolate ganach cake, a raspberry macaroon "cake," box of 3 regular sized macaroons, strawberry pistachio tart, and a strawberry cream tart. We shared everything for dessert between 6-8 people. Everything was delicious, and there was not a crumb left. The service has been amazing and friendly every time I've gone. They also have cookies and gluten-free options. Next time, I'll remember to take pictures before everything gets devoured.
What I love about this place is that since they opened, a few years ago, they have gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. They think of everyone! And not to mention the decoration, they take the time to decorate each season. The service has always been good! I'm a fan of chipotle and mushroom chilaquiles and the vegan hazelnut chocolate is delicious.
Boka gave me an exceptional daily dining experience during my 3-week stay at the QUARTZ. The Boka team operate with precision, care, and compassion. From greeting guests at the door and seating where YOU prefer to the wonderful pastries, lime water, and excellent extensive menu of items, including fresh juice, and delicious fresh fruits. With my gluten-free diet, the Greek omelet became my all-time favorite breakfast.
The compassion came from the staff who sang encouraging songs, asked how I am doing healthwise, and became family, all that while never missing a beat in making sure we had everything we needed. Boka is an 11 on a scale of 10 and definitely 5 stars across the board!
I ate here when it was the tlayuda house but now it is Piedra Santa and it is much better. We made a reservation and Wow. The tlayudas are perfect. I don't eat meat or gluten and there are many options for me. The waiter was perfect. Food. The experience. All. :) thank you so much.
