This charming café/restaurant in Sidmouth offers an unforgettable experience for those seeking gluten-free delights. With stunning sea views as a backdrop, the atmosphere is both serene and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely afternoon tea.
The gluten-free cream tea is the star of the menu, with freshly baked scones that are light, fluffy, and accompanied by rich clotted cream and jam. The cakes are equally impressive, offering a range of flavors from zesty lemon drizzle to decadent chocolate, all meticulously crafted to be gluten-free without compromising on taste or texture.
What truly sets this place apart is the warm and welcoming staff. Their genuine friendliness and attentiveness make every visit feel special. They're knowledgeable about dietary restrictions and eager to accommodate any requests, ensuring a stress-free dining experience for all guests.
The combination of delicious gluten-free treats, breathtaking views, and exceptionally kind staff makes this café a must-visit. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's an idyllic spot to relax, indulge, and enjoy the beauty of the seaside.
Wheat & Gluten free options.
Absolutely loved this place, great food, atmosphere & service.
Lovely all round place to eat or just have a cuppa.
Also dog friendly.
How do I tell if I've been given a gluten free bagel? The 2 times I've been in I've received a pasty white circular lump of sweet, dense bread. None of the toothy bagel I'd expect. With all of the awards this place has won I can't believe this is the bagel they serve (unless it's gluten free).
A friendly pub dining experience. Great prices and great food quality too. We started our meal with crab and prawns in a South Sea Island dressing. Delicious! I then had faggots, creamed potato and veg. My wife had chilli con carne on rice. All very tasty, and our starters, and my wife's main course, was gluten free. Highly recommended.
Delicious freshly baked cakes and good choice of gluten free - staff have a very good awareness of cross contamination risk. They can't guarantee no cross contamination but the gf foods are made separately and separate implements used. Had rock cake, gf brownie and a choc chip cookie- all got big thumbs up for deliciousness and freshness. Sat outside in the gardens - with sea view (though shrouded in fog today!).
Visited Sidmouth today and arrived before most places had opened, came across this inviting coffee shop. We had a gluten free breakfast and a veggie breakfast. Staff were friendly and the food was hot and very enjoyable. Had a good chat with the owner (early and not too busy) who made us feel welcomed. Brought to freshly baked bakewell cookies which we took home. Just ate it and would say best cookie ever, worth a trip back just for these. Well done and hope business goes well for you in this tough climate!
