Great location overlooking countryside so changing seasons. Overspill car park. Comfortable seating inside and out. Reasonable pricing. Mid afternoon so just coffee a d snacks. Friendly staff, friendly and knowledgable about gluten free.

Warm and reasonably comfortable seating. Cannot fault the prices, food or service. One has gluten, soya, milk intolerances but was catered for with personal attention and explanations. Prices are around £8.95 per plate with a few cheaper options but great choices, good servings and speedy service. Usually busy and popular with parking in the grounds. Good selection of cakes and hot drinks with specials on board.

Absolutely new favourite place to treat ourselves to an amazing dinner. Dog friendly. Child friendly - they even had child activity packs! Brilliant for lots of ages!!! Incredible food. Plenty of gluten free options. Very friendly staff.

Amazing ! I booked to come for afternoon tea with a friend on Friday 17th November. My friend is gluten free, I emailed ahead asking if this would be possible. Well, when we arrived they had gone above and beyond what I thought they would do. We both had a delicious selection of rolls, scones and cakes. Not only did it look fabulous it was delicious too. The staff are friendly and exceptionally professional. Nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend afternoon tea however they had so many lovely things on the menu and everything we saw going to other tables looked fantastic. I feel I found a little hidden gem in ware !!

We’d heard good things about the Red Lion and it didn’t disappoint. The menu choice was plentiful but not too much and for someone who has a gluten intolerance, unusually there was lots of choice. The food was cooked perfectly and beautifully presented, the waitress appropriately attentive. We were made very welcome and we’re already looking at when we can visit again. Highly recommend & good value. PS - the toilets were also very clean, always a good sign!
