Absolutely love Communitea Cafe in Canmore! The vibe is warm and welcoming, the food is fresh and flavourful, and there are tons of clearly marked gluten-free and vegan options. As someone with celiac disease, I felt completely safe eating here. Great service, amazing teas, and a beautiful space. Highly recommend!

I am celiac. Everything here is amazing. All the desserts are gluten free and there's lots of variety and choice. The sandwiches can be made gf and the coffees are great. The business is female owned and operated so happy to support female entrepreneurs too. The high teas are a great excuse to get together with friends

Incredible gluten free (and often vegan) breads and sweets. The sourdough bread was incredible toasted with peanut butter. The tigernut cookie was a crunchy treat. And the chocolate raspberry Sammie was incredible. We came back a second time in our trip for bread to take to Jasper. So grateful to have found Food in the Nud!

I LOVE this place. I have celiac disease and these were the first fresh donuts I've had since diagnosis. Not a dedicated gf facility but I have had no issues eating there and the staff are always amazing and upbeat

Visiting from Calgary and stopped by Remedy Café for their gluten-free options. The staff assured me food prep is safe for celiacs, with a separate prep area, toaster, and utensils. Tried the coconut chicken wrap on a GF wrap, Punjabi style — absolutely flavorful and filling. Saved half for later! Great experience and will definitely be back. Shoutout to the server for being knowledgeable of gluten free practices and a stellar recommendation for my wrap!

We ordered breakfast here on a beautiful Saturday morning. Got a seat outside on the patio. I had a gluten free duck Benedict and the gluten free crepe combo. Delicious and super good quality crepe (hard to find when gluten free). The duck was delicious. My partner ordered a smoked Montreal meat Benedict and he loved it too. The eggs were done to perfection (we like soft). We will be back!

Against All Grain Benny was by far the best eggs benedict I’ve ever had. Got the spicy hollandaise and it was just the right mild spice. The Brussel sprouts were sweet, carmelized and pure perfection. Vegan and gluten free which was perfect. I will be back to try other vegan GF items.

They are not careful when it comes to correctly labeling and preparing for dietary needs. I have Celiacs Disease and due to them giving me a regular bagel with the written label of a "gluten free" I'm now experiencing agonizing symptoms. Luckily I won't die, but if you have any allergies DO NOT GO TO THIS REMEDY. Could you imagine if it was a nut allergy?! Do better.

Great little place. Warm, bright, and inviting. Gluten free options - tater tots are gf but have fryer cross contamination, so breakfast sides you can sub gf bread and have a side salad, fruit, tomatoes etc. Nice vegetarian options too!

This is a cute little cafe and the staff are so nice. The food is great, hash browns a little undercooked. Gluten free options!!! And I mean options not a few select foods! My mother is celiac and hasn’t had a gluten free pancake in anywhere but home for years, she was so excited and absolutely cleaned her plate!! She cannot stop telling people about that pancake and how good it was. For people to not have access to safe foods in so many restaurants is sad, but this cafe goes above and beyond for gluten free food! 10/10 recommend you try this cafe, even if you don’t have any food aversions.

What an amazing and cute little bakery! We sought them out when we were planning our wedding to have at the Olds College. Couldn’t have picked a better place to do our mini cupcakes for our guests! Delicious cake with delicious icing for a very reasonable price. They even accommodated our gluten free request for our celiac guests. They were at the top with sprinkles! Would highly recommend using them for any occasion as they do a phenomenal job! Thank you so much for making our wedding day beautiful!

The coffee is good, service is great, and the pastries are good. However, gluten-free items are not on the top of the pastry cabinet, where they should be, to be properly labelled. There needs to be more strict standards for where they keep these items, especially for celiacs. Otherwise, don't bother calling it gluten-free.

Always delicious and fresh, fast service. A true gem . (Last months visit) Today's visit. After waiting a month to return here with my family, I am very let down . I need to amend my review from 5 stars to 2 to reflect on today's visit. I had an awful experience by Greg, the owners son. We were treated poorly and without respect at all. How embarrassing to be argued with in front of the entire café. After explaining to him about the foods quality and taste, I was treated as though I was not being truthful. I asked for a 1/2 gluten-free turkey sandwich with everything but tomatoes and lettus and a cup of soup. The food was brought out it was a whole sandwich. I mentioned that i only ordered 1/2 and then was told after it came out that "they don't do 1/2 sandwiches for gluten-free bread," and there were no sprouts. (Instead of letting me know when I ordered) I took one bite and couldn't even eat it as it was dry and the turkey meat was a large amount of dark, bruised meat and a tiny bit of white where it wouldnt even stay on the bread, in comparison to my last visit where it was the best sandwich I ever had, I was very disappointed and let down today. Also, for being charged $32 for a breakfast for my mom and sister it was cold and over priced for 3 eggs and 8 pieces of meat, cold potatoes and dry toast. Also, none of the kitchen staff were wearing hair nets or gloves, and I witnessed one cook wipe his nose with his finger and then on his apron. 🤢 The other 2 staff members we encountered were kind and polite. I am absolutely sad to be treated with such rudeness after I've been visiting this café for years off and on and being a paid, returning customer. I am still in shock as to how Greg treated me today, so upset and left hungry.

We really enjoyed our meal here from the food to the atmosphere to the service. At first, we were disappointed with the menu since they have limited gluten-free options. It would be so easy for them to get a good quality vegan/gluten-free bread – – perhaps from”Food in the Nud” nearby — and be able to offer a gluten-free option for the sandwich and tomato soup combo and the veggie burger combo, both items that we hoped to try. We ended up very happy with our selection, however, and shared the gluten-free pancakes, which were Matcha/lemon/blueberry and the vegan omelette. Both had incredible flavor profiles, were cooked to perfection, and you could tell they were made with quality ingredients. We are so grateful to have found this restaurant during our visit to Edmonton.

Ordered 26 cupcakes for hubby’s 65th birthday and they did not disappoint. Family raved over each flavour that was tried. Ordered some gluten free to try for dietary restrictions and you wouldn’t know that they were gluten free. So delicious. Support this family as they were great to order from. Josh is an absolute delight and was super knowledgeable when a friend and I came by to browse! Everything this is vegan and there’s lots of gluten-friendly options as well. I’m not intolerant/allergic to anything so I wasn’t sure how things would taste for me, but the chocolate ganache cupcake and the huge single-packed cookies were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

My wife and I were in Hinton on a camping trip and I wanted to try this place as I love local coffee shops. We walked in and were greeted by the two gentleman working that day. The barista was very helpful in making suggestions and I settled on a caramel macchiato and a date slice. I must mention that he was kind enough to tell me that a traditional macchiato was more of an espresso shot so that I wouldn't possibly be disappointed. We sat for awhile and enjoyed the coffee and the date slice that was made fresh was also delicious. I also noticed that they make breakfast and lunch items and cater to gluten free and other dietary needs. So if you're in Hinton and want to try some good local coffee with good conversation and a very friendly atmosphere please try The Old Grind. Looking forward to our next visit. 🙂☕️

A Celiac Foodie's Dream! The food here is outstanding - chef Joseph goes above and beyond. It is such a treat to have delicious, local, farm-to-table style dishes that are also created with a knowledgeable kitchen and staff. Indoor/Outdoor dining is a definite plus and the ambiance is great. I regularly crave the Poutines and the GF Brownie, although every item here is a hit.

Absolutely love these cookies!! We fell in love with them back when they were just at local markets and you had to get there early to make sure to snag the cookies you wanted. It's been so awesome to see this lady and her company grow and succeed in a storefront in a time where so many businesses are closing. If you're in Spruce grove for any sporting, dining or other reasoning you definately NEED to stop in for these incredible cookies! They even have Gluten Free

This cafe serves homemade everything! Homemade soup, cake, muffins etc. So many choices of gluten free and keto, collagen powder, dandelion coffee and regular coffee. This cafe is rare and other cafes serve frozen soup etc. Amazing!!!!!!

My wife and I were hanging out in Lethbridge for the day getting our car serviced and we decide to check out the Bread Milk and Honey cafe, and we were glad that we did! It was hopping busy on a late Saturday afternoon, so we knew that it must be good. They have many sweet and savoury choices on their menu board to choose from. We ordered everything to go, but the cafe was clean, and well laid out, with lots of room for the staff to work behind the counter. There are many tables and chairs to stay in the cafe and have a coffee, a conversation and a tasty treat. The glass pastry displays still had a lot of choices, even late on a Saturday. We couldn’t just choose one and ordered a wide selection to take with us on the road. There are lots of drink choices as well; I had a lemonade and my wife had a coffee. Everything was carefully packaged as well. We tried the tiny lemon meringue tart, which was crisp and lemony, like a mini pie. The chocolate pie, which I couldn’t resist, looked so inviting and it had a thin, delicate crust and great chocolatey custard, that was delicious. My wife chose a blueberry muffin, that was full of berries and moist and a cheese scone, which was a little plain for her liking. The brownie was lovely, chocolatey and delicious as well, but the gluten free peanut butter bar was moist, but not to our liking. The overnight oats cup was crunchy with almonds, tasty and filling. All in all, a fantastic bakery to stay and enjoy their delicious fresh baking, in a fun, vibrant cafe, or to take your treats on the road with you.
