Came for breakfast on a quiet morning in June. Oh my goodness, so so so good. The kind of good where I immediately went home and looked up everything I had to see if I could make it. My only wish was that the gluten free bread was the Arabic bread mentioned in the menu rather than chopped corn tortillas, but still very nice to have gluten free options.
Dear restaurant, what is the kind of bean and vegetable salad in the breakfast and how do I make it? I'm still thinking about it, so healthy and fresh and filling!
amazing service they did really well for my dad who is gluten free they offer gluten free beer pasta and pizza and i really enjoyed my crepe and the ice cream was gorgeous i’d highly suggest coming here when you’re on holiday or live in the town
We went thanks to the recommendation of celiaquita.com, looking to enjoy some gluten-free pancakes/crepes and... wonderful!
They explained to us how they worked and are very careful with the issue of cross contamination.
There are many options for pancakes and crepes (sweet and savory), smoothies, slushies, etc., for celiacs.
We opted for two gluten-free crepes: death by chocolate and another customized to taste. Delicious!
Thank you for thinking about the celiac community and for doing so well!
Highly recommended restaurant!!
I went to lunch with a friend, and with two starters and the set menu, it cost just over 30 euros for both of us. The menu is super complete and varied, the service was top-notch, and we left feeling stuffed. The croquettes are a must-order, and the chorizo in cider were spectacular. They also adapt the entire menu for gluten-free options!!
I will definitely return!!
We went on a weekday to have a snack because on the menu we saw that they had a variety of gluten-free products, but they only had bread. We moved to things made from another municipality, but it was quite a disappointment. They didn't have almost anything we asked for. Our fault for not calling and asking before.
Maybe on weekends there is more variety
Lovely staff
Lovely food
Lovely place to sit and watch the world go by whilst enjoying some delicious seriously filling pancakes and gluten free pancakes available ....fab
It's a place where we always like to go. The staff was friendly, efficient, fast, very good professionals, we calmly let ourselves be advised by them. Perfect atmosphere, pleasant, cozy... My daughter and I went to have pancakes for breakfast one day, the best I have ever tasted, considering that I am CELIAC, and the coffee was delicious. Today we returned to eat, everything was delicious, the dessert was spectacular... and GLUTEN FREE. We will return!!! I recommend it to you👌🏻
A very nice place where you can eat everything and surprisingly in these types of places, everything is quite delicious. I would say that the breakfasts are the weakest, but the worst was the supplement for gluten-free bread, €2.5!!!! Are we crazy?? Breakfast is served with a choice of white or whole wheat bread and if you ask for gluten-free they charge you an outrageous supplement. I have a daughter with celiac disease and this seems absurd to me. A shame.
Very positive place, cycling related. The waitresses really wait on you! Very attentive, very detailed, I really felt 'taken care of'.
The cake was gluten free which was cool! And super tasty. 🫐 + There's a shop with cycling gear / clothes
We have been to Castalla several times but we had never come here.
A discovery, everything all GOOD. The attention of the service (the waitress was lovely) and the owner too.
The food is 10... a hoot if you are CELIAC BECAUSE YOU CAN ALSO EAT THERE.
In short...without a doubt we will repeat.
Thanks for your service.
Everything was delicious! The coffee was Arabica and very good, and the matcha tea with oat milk was also delicious. They also had some gluten-free desserts.
In the window itself it says gluten free but when you go to order something gluten-free they already warn you that THERE IS cross contamination, yes, it is appreciated that they warn you because if you are celiac you cannot consume those products. But advertising gluten free just because it looks good doesn't seem ethical to me, celiac disease is a disease and not an economic boon. There were only some uncontaminated cookies, the rest were all listed as gluten-free options and that is not true. If there is contamination it is not gluten free and at least it is not to be published in the window itself and much less on the menu. On the other hand, the service was charming and pleasant. But I am outraged by this abuse of "gluten free" to attract customers when you can't offer it.

It's clear that you know my name.
If you publish in your menu that you have gluten-free options, but at the same time you admit that there is cross contamination, you are not offering anything gluten-free, it does not matter if the person is celiac or by free choice, you are offering them gluten-free products and that is not the case. And yes, it is appreciated that you warn them as there may be gluten as it would make them sick.
But can you imagine that a product labeled "gluten free" will contain gluten? What would happen there? Do you think that company could call those who do not want or cannot consume gluten unempathetic? The reason for the review is to warn celiacs that this is not their place. The answer makes me want to give 1 star
A 10/10 experience. The food was delicious, and the staff was unbeatable: fast, attentive, and very friendly. We ordered gluten-free (although they also have all the gluten-free options), and it's a pleasure to find places that truly know what they're doing, taking care of every detail and avoiding any cross-contamination. The best thing is that gluten-free dishes don't taste "different"; it feels like you're eating normal food. The coca dough is amazing, and the chocolate cake is a must-have. 100% recommended.

An incredible place I go to every week. It's true that it can get very crowded sometimes. The food and drinks are all delicious, but I find it a bit tacky that they want to charge for lactose-free milk or gluten-free bread. I understand it's a business, but we're talking about people's health. I understand charging for different types of milk or whole-wheat bread...
Anyway, everyone has their own business model, and I still highly recommend this place.
Excellent restaurant for a healthy meal in Altea! We loved the place, the service was very friendly, and everything was very good.
The salad I ordered was excellent, generously portioned. It was the raw salad. The ingredients were very tasty. I loved it. I also ordered the matcha iced latte, which was very good.
The menu is extensive and includes gluten-free options. Everything was delicious!
They also have a couple of gluten-free desserts with healthy ingredients. You can even order smoothies and juices.
There are a couple of tables for dining inside, but it's not very big. However, it's comfortable and not too noisy.
I'll definitely be back!
What a lovely cafe! My baby and I were greeted with such warmth and smiles. I felt so welcome. The team treated us so kindly and the service was great.
I had popped in for a sit down and to use their baby changing facilities as well as to get quick coffee and brunch bagel.
It was super busy with a ladies luncheon group. But the atmosphere was lively and happy. What a delightful place with a community spirited feel. I got takeaway gluten-free chocolate cake too! What a bonus.
I’m going back every time I need to go to La Zenia. So friendly.
Every time I go they surprise me. They take great care of the presentation and the bread is from a bakery. The service is always great and every day they have a different natural fruit smoothie.
They are GLUTEN FREE!
I wish there were more places like this :)
We have come for dinner and I recommend this restaurant for its menu, its attention and above all because they have very good and varied gluten-free options and they also know well about the subject. I recommend the pizza, it was delicious. If we return to Calpe it will be a mandatory stop.
We've always had good food, but this time we went with a celiac patient, and they really knew what we were talking about at all times. They adapted dishes and even had gluten-free bread for the sandwiches.
As always, the service was top-notch, with great attention and friendliness, and the food was fantastic.
An ideal place for a celiac who wants a good sandwich.
Lovely vegan food with a good proportion of the menu also having gluten-free options. The service was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the double-fried potatoes, they're delicious
Quality of service deserves more stars, it's that good. Friendly and convivial from day 1 (more than a year ago). The coffee is the best in Calpe by some margin! Always excellent.
The staff are justifiably proud of the quality of their input, from the fresh ingredients to the presentation at your table.
Excellent poke bowls, juices and incredible smoothies each tailored to particular needs. Energizer's, detox, cardio and immune system targeted to mention just a few.
Highly recommended.
The gluten-free banana cake is also incredible 😊
Wonderful service, the waitresses are charming, you can tell that it is familiar, the treatment is very welcoming! They have a variety of foods, both sweet and savory, they have gluten-free toast and some cakes, I recommend trying all the ice creams for summer, you can tell they are handmade!
We went to have some beers and ended up eating. Good sandwiches with vegan and lactose-free options.
Very varied and delicious desserts, most of them gluten-free and lactose-free.
The staff very friendly and attentive.
We will return for sure!
