Absolutely amazing came in here for the gluten-free options for my friend and it was so good. I got a coffee as well which was well needed after a night out 🤣
My daughter is gluten-sensitive and type 1 diabetic, and we found divine pizza for her here. The staff was perfect, they even checked the carbohydrate content of the pizza base. And the children's chocolate shake is something fantastic. My partner and I also ordered.
Brunch Club Meal Saturday 18 January 2025
I arrived at the venue at 9.15 am, and I called the daughter, to tell her that I was outside the venue, and would wait for her to arrive, as we had agreed to meet there at 9.30 am, when she arrived, we went inside the cafe, at which point she told me that she had invited her father to come as well, and that she forgot to tell me that he was coming, (it turned out that it was a good thing that he came, as they had planned to go away for the weekend) and that she needed help with packing.
The daughter ordered a Large Hot Chocolate drink with Oat Milk, (she had bought along her own Travel Mug), and I ordered a Medium English Breakfast Tea, and two pieces of Gluten Free Chocolate Brownie as well.
When the Father arrived and saw us seated, he sat down, and ordered a Bacon Sandwich, with Sourdough Bread and two Coffee Lattes, one to drink in the cafe, and one to take away.
After a short while, we all got up and left the cafe, and I said to the daughter that I would contact her soon, and I said good bye to the father as well, and I said the same to him.
Overall the experience, service and food that we had was very good.
Have gluten-free etc options but the food is very bland and disappointing, despite using decent ingredients. Their coffee is terrible, I know only one place in Cambridge which serves worse brew than this. Won’t come again.
Busy, friendly cafe off the main avenues of central Cambridge. Seating is downstairs, upstairs and outside across the road! Order excellent coffee at the till and get a table number stand for your drinks to be served to you. Superb gluten free brownies and cakes, helpfu,l friendly staff. Also does takeaway drinks in standard sizes, none of that Venti, Grande sizing, just a mug full of excellent tasting coffee and if you want more, order two!!
One of my favorite places in Cambridge. Great coffee, food, and the best service around. Made Cambridge feel like home. Safe for my celiac disease (gluten free options)
Charming little cafe with delightful staff who remember their regulars. Really good gluten free options, good knowledge of allergen safety. Also has vegan options. Great for toasted sandwiches, coffee, slice/cake and soups. My favourite cafe in Cambridge.
Stopped here for the first time today. Food was delicious and they had several gluten free options on cakes as well as GF bread for a lovely toastie. Sweet potato, chestnut and cheese pie was really nice.
My favorite coffee shop in the world! Literally the best coffee I've ever had, a varied/sophisticated/rotating menu of savory/brunch items, and delicious cakes! So many thoughtful details like SOUND INSULATION, a killer jazz playlist, and very sturdy tables makes this an absolutely exceptional establishment. My celiac boyfriend eats their gluten free food without problems! Couldn't recommend more!
Amazing Gluten Free Food.
I walked in explained I was coeliac, the lady was delightful showing my all the GF cakes she had. She then offered to make up a Turkish mezze, that would be gluten free.
It included aubergine and cauliflower 2 things I would normally avoid, it was delicious!
I will be back. Fingers crossed GF Baklava is featuring 😋
Really not sure what's happened to the breakfasts since my last visit in March? The service and beverages are still very good, but, just bear with me to understand the cognitive dissonance I felt: Mid June - We were each presented with two slices of processed dry toast with two split sausages on one plate and two tiny badly presented poached eggs on the other. Each plate cost £7.25. With the sausages - two catering sachets of mustard (containing wheat) and with the eggs two catering sachets of butter. Given we'd asked for gluten free, the mustard was an oversight. Early March - We had pulled pork belly with hollandaise sauce, generous poached egg and wholegrain mustard with herb garnish on a soft centred lightly toasted muffin - sublime and all gluten free for a tenner. I posted this amazing brunch to my GroupChat - and left a recommendation of Hot Numbers with my guest house. All I can imagine has happened is an economy drive, but, I would be happy to pay more for something that special!! I suggest the owners watch The Bear on Disney Plus to see how transformative for everyone a great chef and good food can make a place feel.
Its worst bakery i ever been to!! I arranged to meet my family day after my bday for lunch and they had gluten free options on board, my family all ordered there food but when it came to me they had nothing gluten free to eat and when i said so u have nothing i can eat the girl literally just shrugged her shoulders and was not bothered at all, i ended up sat with my family with nothing to eat whilst they all ate their lunch!!! Shocking!! There was also a really rude member of staff who was making the coffees and how i didnt say something about her attitude i dont know!!! Wont be going back thats for sure!!!!
Very efficient service, great food, very reasonable prices. There is an option of a full English breakfast with gluten free bread. Americano wax surprisingly good! And bacon was cooked just right! We will be back
Fun, funky little local cafe!
The staff is friendly and helpful. The coffee and food are good -- and included a couple of yummy gluten-free options, at least when we were there.
A variety of seating, in window or books or even outside: There's a garden out back that's a lovely spot to sit in nice weather.
Free off-street parking in front, though not much of it.
Access: Entry is ground-level and step-free. The inside is a little crowded; the space was adequate for a rollator (rolling walker) but aisles might not be wide enough for a wheelchair. Toilet is on the ground floor, but might not be big enough for wheelchair users.
I was very lucky to visit this pizzeria recently. It has beautiful decor, a good menu and brilliant service. I am a gluten-free person, and at that time there were no gluten-free countertops. I was offered another wonderful meal instead! Among other things, wonderful eggplant! I would like to praise the man with the earring who made sure that I left the place satisfied, he has great contact with the customer and is patient with Polish women. I'm asking for a raise for him! :D
Generous portion sizes, tasty food, and quick service.
I am gluten free and for the veggie full english, they gave me extra mushrooms and beans because I could not have the bread. The hash browns are gluten free.
I loved their 'green reviver' smoothie - they have lots of flavours.
Love Pret, always try to use them wherever I am. Good healthy options, also unhealthy ones if you feel like a treat. They do good vegetarian options too, tasty salads, hot food etc. Good selection of hot and cold drinks plus takeaway sandwiches and snacks. They do a few sweet gluten free options (although you can have salads now), but I understand in future they will be expanding the range.
This place is surely worth more than a visit. Their sourdough was light yet crispy along with many options for vegans/ vegetarians. Their gluten free almond pistachio cake was gorgeous despite the slight excessive sweetness. We liked the vegan arancini and their home wine. Decent prices and good portion sizes alongside quality.
No wonder this place is massively occupied all the time.
Great cafe, and I go for weekend breakfast often while in Cambridge. This cafe is good for meal value and has especially excellent service. I like the small cafe atmosphere and thankful for a number of gluten free options.
