Nice atmosphere and service, but inedible gluten free pastries. As someone who has tried the majority of gluten free bakeries in Toronto and countless storebought goods, it’s ludicrous that this bakery is charging $5.93 for a single black forest cupcake. The cupcake had a weird texture, it was like munching on uncooked quinoa in between cake crumb. The frosting was overwhelmingly sweet and not creamy at all. I’ve had plenty of good vegan frosting at other bakeries—this was not it. There was very little cherry filling and it should have been a jam-like consistency, instead I think they just soaked dried cherries in sugar syrup. Not to mention the black forest cupcake is a “seasonal” flavor which is how the bakery justifies an extra $0.75 surcharge. Last I checked, dried cherries are available year-round so I’m confused and you should be too.
As a Celiac, it can be difficult to find restaurants where I can safely eat. I dropped in to No Bull for lunch just to see if they could accommodate my diet and was amazed at just how prepared they were. The beef has no filler, they have gluten-free buns and they even have a dedicated fryer (which isn’t a perfect guarantee but I didn’t react to the fries). The server was cheerful and helpful, the food tasted great, I was only sorry the outside patio wasn’t opened because it was the first sunny day in a week! At least I have a safe place to eat in the Beach.
Great coffee ☕️ shop in the Beaches area. Lots of gluten-free and low carbon snacks. Really enjoyed their espresso. The location is great too. Nice outside bench for people watching in the Beach. Highly recommend and would definitely comeback when I am in the area.
A shop that serves delicious organic coffee and gluten-free cakes.
A cute Japanese girl was working the cash register!
There is a wide variety of black tea leaves and it would make a great souvenir!
Best gluten free bun, and I was able to swap the new veggie pattie to have another burger be GF. Their beef ones are not GF, but try this hack if you can. Loved it there!
April 2021: A cute small store selling Japanese type foods. This place is a nice short walk to the beaches which is s really nice treat if your in the area. There is free parking on the side streets if your early or lucky enough. Donut Mochi is their specialty. They have some interesting other dishes which certainly is worth a try. Unlike typical donuts, mochi donuts are typically made with glutenous rice and is chewy - which it is, but now overly chewy. They have made about 140 different flavors as of writing. The lychee flavored one was the best of the 6 I had. Eat the donuts fresh to have the right texture. After the 2nd day, the texture is completely different... Losses it's chewiness and it's harder to bite into.
Fantastic Place. Great atmosphere. Excellent Brunch and Coffee. They really created their own style. Best breakfast on our trip.
Even glutenfree sandwich 👍
Extremely dated restaurant. I'm giving it 3 stars because the servers were lovely and attentive, but the food was not great. The only upside was that they had a gluten-free bread option. It was very expensive for what we got. I don't recommend.
Recently went gluten free, and had there Angry Salmon Pasta in the gluten free version, it was amazing!!!
Always come away with a mouth watering experience and great service.
We came here for all you can eat.
There are many OLD reviews about poor service and I can say that was not our experience. The woman serving us went out of her way to find me gluten free soya sauce in the back, offered my daughter an ice cream flavour that was not on the menu.
EXCELLENT service.
The food was very good as well!
We will be back!
Amazing food. The fish was so fresh that it melted in your mouth. Gluten free soya sauce was available. Our server told me what to avoid because I am celiac. Will definitely go again
