Came to Bird's Nest to catch up with friends. The atmosphere is incredible, very warm and inviting. Food and drinks were amazing, such good flavours! Normally only two skewers per serving but were kind enough to add an extra so every member of our three person party could have one. The servers were awesome, very attentive - regularly checking on water and filling glasses and taking empty plates. Excellent gluten free accomodation and understanding. Will definitely be coming back, 100%.

The staff were absolutely amazing and accommodating. Our waiter ensured that we were all served and looked after and a shout-out to Millie (I hope I spelt it right!)! She made sure the birthday cakes were presented nicely and that we were looked after throught the few hours we were there. The food was outstanding! It was one of the nicest Asian restaurants we've been to in a long time. Servings are a decent size and great quality. We had a coeliac member of family with us and they have so many gluten-free options! Usually difficult in Asian restaurants. Cost is reasonable for what you get. The only issue is parking (like anywhere in the Fortitude Valley). Highly recommend 👌

I had the chance to try these arepas last night, and they completely exceeded my expectations. The gluten-free dough gives them a unique flavour that’s different from traditional arepas, but honestly even more delicious! The meat was absolutely perfect—tender, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. On top of the great food, the whole experience was fantastic: the staff were friendly and efficient, the vibe was relaxed with just the right amount of music, and the place was spotless. Everything was above and beyond what I expected. I can't wait to go back! Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a tasty gluten-free option!

My partner and I had an amazing birthday dinner at Same Same last Friday evening. We booked for 6pm and the restaurant was already full and buzzing. We were seated very promptly and drink orders taken quickly. Our waiter was very friendly and balanced the check-ins really well throughout the evening. We decided to order off the menu, instead of the banquet due to my dietary requirements (coeliac) and the food did not disappoint! We had the betel leaf snacks, the kingfish, tofu pad see ew (huge chunks of BBQ tofu!), wagyu beef cheek curry (soo good!), stir fry greens and the warm tamarind pudding. We also had a cheeky bottle of wine (a great recommendation from the sommelier) and a couple of margaritas to start. Being a Friday night the restaurant was full and very noisy which was fine with us but might not be suitable for others who prefer a quiet dinner. Can't wait to go again :)
