I love the sesame chicken salad! You can sub out the grains for more greens. and The chicken is perfectly cooked in a delicious Asian marinade. The roasted broccoli and crunchy carrots add more interest and nutrition. The dressing is flavorful. This salad is so healthy and delicious that I actually prefer it to their excellent burgers. They are about as gluten friendly as anybody could hope for in a restaurant of this kind.

A place that advertises an entirely separate GF oven and has vegan cheese sounds perfect for our family. But their GF dough is made of wheat starch, which is NOT sufficiently free of protein for many with celiac and anyone with allergies. No sense having a dedicated space if you are using ingredients that quite possibly contain gluten (speaking as a health professional who has done the research on wheat starch ppm of gluten). Only other item available for me on the menu was a $10 "salad" of just greens...which came salted?!...and the salty cured meat appetizers. Huge huge let down. Please avoid if you are wheat or gluten free.

The Meltdown and their staff consistently hit it out of the park. I have never had a bad meal or service at their establishment. Even the pickiest of eaters in my life dream over the next time they can dine here. What people have to remember is that each menu item is literally an entree made into a sandwich. The explosiveness of flavors, the freshness, and the dynamic ingredient list make every bite a culinary experience. The price of produce has gone up and so have menu items everywhere. As someone who travels for work, I’ve spent more on meals elsewhere and been disgusted and unfulfilled. A result which never happens at The Meltdown. While I dislike being gluten free, it’s an unfortunate reality for me. Options aren’t as widespread as people think and every GF meal I’ve had here makes me question “how can something this good be GF?!” I’m given the comfort of food I miss with every item and a plate so full that leftovers are always taken home. The owners expect a caliber from their staff which is sorely missing in today’s world, bringing the dining-out experience back to life. I had the GF Gobbler special and it’s no easy feat to make a whole separate group of dishes to cater to a small group that requires it. From the first bite, I felt the flavors of home and my childhood across my palate and it carried through to my last bite later in the evening.
