I emailed them about my allergies and about cross contamination and they emailed back "Hello, Paulina!
We have several gluten-free and vegan options on the menu. From tapioca, salads, smoothie bowls, shakshuka, pancakes, etc.
We'd also like to inform you that all toasts can be served on gluten-free bread or with a baked sweet potato base instead of traditional bread. You can see our menu at: https://www.zenithcaffe.pt/EmentaZenithPT.pdf // https://www.zenithcaffe.es/MENU_ZENITH_ES_ENG.pdf However, given that all the products are made in the same kitchen and that we have very limited space, we can't guarantee 100% that there won't be any cross-contamination, even though we take every possible precaution. To date we have never had any reported incidents
If you come to visit us, we suggest that you inform the manager immediately when you order, so that we can take extra care. We hope to see you soon, Zenith team "

Went there twice. Had no issues regarding gluten free food. A variety of options but the chicken burrito bowel was a stand out. Also the Jarritos drinks are the best.
I recommend!
Gluten-free and lactose-free dishes adapted to my needs as a customer without any problems, Lucia who served us was incredibly nice, with extensive knowledge of the waiter service and the place where she works, very nice and specific!
Lucia, thank you for your service and the entire team!
Delicious fish!
The octopus and all my friends' dishes were also excellent!
Best regards, Daria from near Krakow/Limanów, Poland
Do not eat if gluten free.
Booked a table for 7:30pm outside. Arrived to be seated inside with broken AC (told not cleaned) Too hot to eat inside so we asked to wait to be seated outside as requested. They offered us drinks while we waited. Took a long time to arrive and all arrived separately, having asked for a couple of the drinks numerous times. Finally sat down on a table they created in a space which was available on our arrival - pushed by another table of 6 arriving at 8pm.
No food arrived until 9:20pm by which time we had been at the restaurant for 2 hours. Despite asking for gluten free food options 3 times, the waiter seemed unsure as to what was and wasn’t. He checked with the chef, verified and came back to us. We happily ate the ‘gluten free’ options given to us. Less than 30 mins later I have reacted to gluten in a way that can only be eating actually gluten and not cross contamination.
Very poor service, food and allergy requests not catered for despite their clear advertising of the opposite.
Will never go back.
I was served by Gustavo and was very satisfied. Being celiac, I ordered fresh gluten-free pasta, which I enjoyed in complete safety. I would return many times if I had the chance. Very delicious!
We loved it and will come back! Amazing food and our dogs were very welcome. Gluten free, vegetarian plate is sooo good!!! And is also available in vegan! Really enjoyed the varieties of spices!

They have gluten free soy sauce and took extra care to let the kitchen know that my meal must be taken care of in terms of cross contamination. We went for an assorted plate where the chef chooses what sushi's are made. The quality of the fish is definitely noticeable. Everything is very fresh and I didn't even really use the soy sauce because I wanted the full flavor of the food.

A great place for friends. The dishes are excellent, the servers are very attentive, and despite a 10:30 p.m. reservation, we were very well received and ate very well (even gluten free). Thank you
Amazing! Best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had in my life!!!(you have to advise them 24 hours in advance for the GF dough) The non-gluten free pizzas are also very very good! Staff is very helpful and funny. I will come back here for sure!
Busy restaurant, we asked about gluten-free options the first night and were shown 3 things on the menu. The second night, we were given a gf menu. Perhaps the staff didn't know about it but this seems kind of important information to know.

One Coyo margarita and one order of 2 birria tacos. Holy cats the tacos were good. I'm an American, moved to Portugal 3 years ago and only know American Mexican and Tex Mex and the birria tacos were simple, oh so good and gluten free. Next time I'm ordering El Pastor tacos. Quick walk from Cais do Sodré train station. I'll be back for sure. And my server suggested the birria tacos. He is a very smart fellow 🙂
We had an incredible breakfast at Fauna & Flora in Lisbon! The gluten-free options were amazing—sweet potato in place of toast was a total game-changer. Every dish was beautifully plated and bursting with flavor. The portions were generous, and the whole place had a vibrant, jungle-chic vibe with lush plants everywhere. A total gem—don’t miss it!
Amazingly delicious, fresh food! They had the best gluten-free bread I think I've ever had, and there was plenty left to bring as a snack on my day tour in case our stops didn't have gf options. I stumbled in after a long night, not being able to locate my Airbnb, finding a hotel and flying all day. They had closed the kitchen, but still took my order (so I left a hefty tip) and the meal was perfect! It truly made my night and fueled me for my tour the next day before heading back to the US. The waitress was super friendly and the lead manager I met was also extremely friend, and thank you again for helping me out!

Great local family run restaurant! Food was delicious and they were incredibly accommodating of and knowledgable about the gluten free options. Particular highlights were the moqueca, lamb and the Dad’s hot chilli’s for those who like it spicy!
Our favourite meal in Vale de Lobo - sad we waited so long to try it!

Delicious breaky spot in Lagos with great coffees too. They have gluten free bread so can make most things coeliac friendly! Well priced too. It is very popular so you might struggle to get a seat or may have to wait.
Had an issue with our order and the staff sorted it out graciously took the meal off the bill.

We stumbled upon this wonderful venue to escape the rain. Then we were enchanted. We enjoyed an excellent wine tasting and made some great friends with other guests. When we asked about a celiac-friendly restaurant, we were promptly invited to the restaurant at the back of the shop. We could hardly believe the dreamy ambiance that awaited us. This was followed by an unforgettable dinner with wine pairing. When we left the venue several hours later, it was still raining, but our mood couldn't have been better. We left slightly tipsy and with our stomachs full of delicious food. A very special thank you goes to the entire service team. We haven't experienced such excellent, attentive, and friendly service in a long time. We will definitely be back.
Nice view, lovely food, very modern and clean, gluten free options, also cheap! I got a steak sandwich in a different style bun.. no complaints! Bun was very nice sort of like a crispy outside but a pancakey middle, fries wasn’t too crispy which is good, fluffy on the inside and paired with the garlic mayo (that comes with the meal) was incredible, 10/10! My girlfriend got a gluten free chicken wrap with bacon, cheese, cherry tom and carrot.. she said it’s the best meal she’s had in Portugal! (we’ve been here over a month) she is a celiac so, SOME OF THE MENU is gluten free and safe for sure! For drinks we got a home made mint lemonade, big glass and refreshing, lovely place!
We ordered two takeaway pistachio matchas for €14.30.
We asked for one gluten free and one with oat milk. They gave us the gluten free one with oat milk (which is not gluten free). This meant that we had to scrape the cookie and pistachio cream off my celiac friend’s drink and onto mine as she is allergic.
It also took us 20 minutes to receive the drinks and the sizes were incredibly small. Not worth the money.
We had also seen them bring out the dine in drink with the pistachio cookie advertised but instead we got a small biscoff cookie for some reason.
Nice little Mexican restaurant. We had pork carnitas and nachos. All very good. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Gluten Free options available. Inside and outside seating available. I would recommend this restaurant.
I emailed them about my allergies and about cross contamination and they emailed back " Hello Paulina! Thank you for your contact. Even though we offer gluten free options, it’s important to mention that any restaurant that prepares its dishes in the same kitchen as others with gluten has an obligation to warn of the possibility of having allergenic traces. Our team is extremely careful, but since our dishes are all made in the same kitchen that already implies a risk of cross contamination, even if it’s a small one. That’s why we understand it’s extremely important to warn all of our guests, so they are aware of the conditions we work in and then they take the decision of visiting us, or not. Specially because we do not have a separate kitchen, fridge, utensils and instruments to cook the gluten free dishes. Thank you, the Boa-Bao team"
This little gem is amazing. Very attentive to celiac gluten free. Dedicated gluten free fryer. Food is amazing. Friendly staff. Best meal we had in Lisbon.
Really lovely host, the food was excellent and the atmosphere great. Oh and the gluten free peanut cake was amazing 🤩

Great spot for a casual dinner while watching a soccer match! Relaxing patio seating. Plenty of gluten free options. The prawns and ribs were both excellent! especially the prawns in orange sauce. Very tasty!
Staff recommended octopus and it was absolutely delicious! Most items on the menu can be made gluten free. Great location to sit outside and enjoy a view of the local buildings.
Great beach restaurant with a view of the beach. The food and cocktails were great and service from Tiago was exceptional - knowledgeable about gluten free options, great with the children in our group and multilingual. We especially loved the Cais Old Fashioned and the smoked pork dish.
Great menu with many special dishes. Personnel is extra friendly, kind and helpful. There are some gluten free dishes and many vegan. Moreover, they are prepared to listen to your wishes and adapt a dish accordingly if possible. Besides a la carte menu, there are additionally a daily soup and one main dish. Two main dishes and a juice costed 25-30€. It was very tasty and looked quality prepared. Tricolour fusilli with salmon was quite big portion whereas sautéed octopus with sweet potatoes was a bit too small portion.

Best meal we had in a while! They did gluten free adapted meal on request: I was ensured they used a fresh pan and utensils to avoid cross contamination.
Try the white sangria and the chocolate mousse (!).
I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but this needs to be said. We had two people in our party with serious gluten and dairy allergies, and we chose this place specifically because they offer a separate gluten-free menu. We asked multiple times to confirm everything was safe, even after the dishes were served because something felt off. Sure enough, both meals had gluten and dairy. One of our friends had even already taken a bite of her meal! The staff refunded us, but the manager seemed more interested in deflecting blame than making it right. It’s a shame, because it could have been avoided with proper communication and care. NOT recommended for anyone with allergies!
Stumbled across this restaurant after almost giving up. Being Celiac can be tough when eating out while travelling. The restaurant accommodated me by preparing a cod lunch, without gluten, which melted in my mouth. The cod was so fresh. My husband and I shared it along with a vegetable salad which was fresh and so satisfying. The service was excellent and a great attractive location, right on the river.

This place should have 5 stars. All of the food was so fresh and well-presented. The staff were attentive and polite. I have Coeliac disease and they communicated with the chef to find out what I could and couldn’t eat from the menu. I had the ceviche and traditional sushi platter, my partner had the shrimp tempura, chicken gyoza and Fusion platter. It was all delicious! We would come back in a heartbeat. Don’t be put off by the closed door upon entry- they’re just keeping the place air-conditioned.
