Went for dinner and it was excellent! The scallop risotto was the special that evening and it was delicious. Also had the jerk chicken risotto and cheesecake for dessert. Our group was also very happy about all of the gluten free options on the menu.
The interior is beautiful, romantic enough, cozy, but the light is too dim for me (but this is my subjective opinion).
Location - the restaurant is located in the down town, i.e. in the city center, which, unfortunately, means the absence of its own parking lot and you have to look for it, and it is paid even on weekends.
Food - not very many, in fact, menu items if we are talking about the main dishes. There are few gluten-free dishes, which, for example, was a problem for us. We had to order soup and salad because we have restrictions on the types of meat we can eat and therefore, actually, vegetarian soup is all we could order. It was delicious, I have no complaints, but it's still a pity that there is such a limited selection of gluten-free meat dishes.
We ordered tea and I liked that the tea cup was warm (despite the fact that it was empty), and the tea was served separately in a teapot).
Service - everything here was top notch, the girl who served us was as attentive as possible, she knew the menu and the composition of the dishes well, she could tell us what dishes we could order, taking into account the restrictions we had.
But still, I deducted one star. I was out of paper towels. As always, in the restaurant there is a cloth napkin in which the cutlery is wrapped and which we put on our laps when we eat, but I cannot wipe my lips, for example, with that napkin, for this I need paper ones, but they were not on the table and no one offered . This is my humble opinion, it was uncomfortable for me. Well, the shortcomings of the menu that I wrote about above also played a role in the evaluation.
And in general, I can recommend this place, we liked it.
Love the old. No 7, have went many time with very consistent food. I enjoy all the gluten free options, especially the candied bacon burger. I recieved the best service from Ashley, she's friendly, accommodating and efficient!
My daughter has Celiac disease so we were in Bedford on business and checked google for gluten free dining. PizzaTown came up and was close to our location so we headed there. To say that it was the best pizza I had ever had would be an understatement. I couldn't believe how many toppings were on that pizza. I had Hawaiian and my daughter had a meat lovers which was also FULL of toppings. The sauce was delicious, the waiter was so friendly and accommodating and pricing was fairly normal. I will definitely recommend this place and will return when in the area again.😋😋Thank you Pizzatown. :)
Since spouse was diagnosed with celiac, our dining out options are limited and even then, usually not great.
We've started frequenting Boston Pizza as they have delicious GF pizza and clubhouses.
We appreciate this offering - now if only they could have a dedicated fryer so other menu items could be GF..

Adorable eclectic little spot for Starbucks like drinks but better! Big Mugs👍🏼
Fun for people watching.. we went in the early afternoon and wasn’t too busy!
Comfy seats, milk alternatives and YES gluten free !
Have a 4 star because there was an issue with payment and computer but the young women working were very kind and helpful!
London Fog, Oak milk Lattes with Vanilla, Gluten free Oat cake and Spinach Feta pastry all very good!
We attended the Valentines Prix Fixe event at Anemone. I am gluten and dairy free, my husband is not. It was easy to see which menu options were available to me before purchasing tickets, was prompted to note food allergies when purchasing, and received an email confirming this afterward.
The venue itself was so lovely and cozy. Parking was easy, even on the holiday. It truly feels like you are at a private dinner instead of a number at a restaurant.
A friend asked me afterward what my favourite part of the meal was - I couldn’t decide! Everything from the welcome snack to the caramel sauce on the dessert was excellent. The staff verbally confirmed (without me ever needing to ask) each of my GF/DF plates as they brought them to me, which made me feel confident that I was eating safely. At no point did I feel my meal was “less” than my husbands (I’ve suffered many bunless burgers and plain baked potatoes elsewhere).
We left happy, full, and looking forward to returning. Thank you Chef Dany & the Anemone team.
My son is a diagnosed celiac and so far we have always felt safe eating at Swiss Chalet. We always ask many questions before ordering if we go to a SC that we have not visited before just to make sure they are familiar with the aspects of celiac and for them to know that with diagnosed celiac it just is not a food allergy or a decision to not eat gluten ....Celiac is a life long disease and if a small amount of gluten gets in his system it sets him back to square one. We feel confident to order the rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoe and corn .
