This has got to be the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. Came across this place a few years ago by chance and didn’t think I would ever find it again. After a long hike we went in search of a bite to eat (which is difficult when you’re gluten free!) and even though the restaurant didn’t open for another 2 hours, they kindly opened so we could once again have the most incredible gluten free pizza. The owner is friendly and accommodating. The flavours are delightful. And finally, gluten free is taken seriously and made to be just as good as regular. 1000% recommend!
The cafe wasn't particularly busy, we were asked to take our drinks before the food arrived during this "busy" period. The food arrived 20-25 minutes after we took our hot drinks!!!? I ordered two poached eggs on granary toast at a cost of £7.45. The light meal arrived with a piece of toast missing (repleced with white toast). The eggs were like rubber, and the bread was fresh from a packet. At £7.45 I expect good quality bread, not supermarket bread. Whilst it's not on the menu, I asked for an omelette, I was told "sorry, no" - really!!! You have eggs, you have a frying pan!!! Not much choice if you're gluten free!!!The restaurant was no where near capacity, the outside area at most 1/2 full, the server at the bar was very pleasant. The ordering system is not working. If you're asked to take your drinks and wait for food-refuse. Very disappointing. I will not be returning.
Hills – Great Spot with a View and Gluten free beer and buns!
Stopped by Hills recently and really enjoyed it. It’s easy to get to and there’s plenty of parking, which made things super convenient. The building itself has an interesting design and the views are amazing – definitely a nice bonus.
The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Most of the menu has gluten-free options, which was great, and they even had bottled gluten-free beer at the bar.
Overall, a lovely place to grab a meal. Would happily go back.
Lovely little coffee shop offering a good range of drinks, including decaf coffee and an excellent range of cakes, including gluten free. Freindly staff and reasonable prices.
Every member of staff are so helpful and kind, making sure our wheelchair has access and table to sit at. The carrot cake was moist and gluten free which was essential, and the other food coming from the kitchen looked very nourishing. This is a caring cafe which supplies food for visitors and caravan park residents with ease, well done
