The prices! I've choked on them since the last time we ate there a few days ago. We have eaten here before but not in about 9 months. I thought prices were ridiculous then but now they are eye watering. £4.40 for a SMALL CHIP. £5.50 for small chip with sauce. £13.60 for fish supper work no peas or tartare - those will cost your another £1.30 each and the tub of tartare is tiny! We got 2 mini fish suppers (and trust me it's mini) 1 peas and 2 tartare - £19.20. We ate here as we were on our back from Belfast and really hungry and they do gluten free. I doubt we'll eat there again. The prices just aren't justified
Superb. On making telephone reservation staff member asked if anyone in party with allergies. Advised 1 coeliac. On arrivial waiter was aware coeliac in group. Went over the fantastic menu options, the vast majority which were gluten free. Stated chef was coeliac. Food was excellent. Wine list great. Reasonable prices. Service magnificent. Beautiful quaint restaurant ; so much better than any other restaurants in the surrounding area.
Loads of gluten free options and good social distance one-way set up. Just get there early as they sell out quickly on sunny days. I had the quiche and tried a bit of a sausage roll (neither GF) and both were delicious and substantial portions. I also tried a GF white choc and berry cake which was very moist & yummy. I was checking out a banana & cinnamon cake, but I just didn't have enough space... excuse to go back again.
My wife was there today. She has coeliac disease and the staff could not have been more helpful. Nearly everything on the menu could be adapted to gluten free. Even the beer was gluten-free. Couldn’t ask for better service. Highly recommended.
