Tiny little place we found because it offers gluten free options. Very charming and the food was very good! First stop off the train on our way to Tantallon Castle.
We went to The Puffin last week and the fish and chips was incredible. It was made even more special as it was gluten and dairy free, so this was a real treat for us! Mum had a fish soup (can't remember the exact name) and she was raving about that too!
I'm coeliac. The staff understood this an took excellent care. They only have penne for gluten free. It was as good as any GF pasta I've ever had (low bar, I know). They cooked it perfectly al dente, which is of course the minimum you might expect for an Italian restaurant, but any one whose tried will know how difficult that can be for gf pasta. I had carbonara, and it was absolutely wonderful!
We had a great meal there last week. We can't eat gluten or dairy and the waitress was incredible at telling us what we could have or what they could alter for us. We ended up having the ribs which were absolutely delicious and a burger too, which was great. Apart from the food, the service was incredible. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
