My girlfriend and I have always loved blaze. Ordered delivery late Wednesday night for $68 on Uber eats. two pizzas, one gluten free, one regular. My gluten free was horrible, soggy, salty, pepperoni tasted off. Almost inedible.
Even then I wasn’t considering writing a bad review until my girlfriend developed food poisoning symptoms roughly 20 hours after eating delivery from this blaze. We know it was blaze because we ate the same exact food over that 20 hours save for me getting gluten free crust and her getting regular dough.
I suggest the manager of this establishment reviews which of their inadequate employees was working late Wednesday night and figure out what went wrong. We’ll never eat at blaze again.
It pains me to do this as I loved this place and their gluten free options, but my last experience wasn’t so great. I got their general tso lunch special gf, it was $15 and I received maybe 1oz chicken. The flavor was ok, not what I would normally expect. The flakes of chicken were extremely overcooked. I understand one specials are smaller portions, but for $15 this wouldn’t even count as an appetizer. I came hungry and left the same.
We love everything we ordered, the ropa vieja with congris rice was delicious and the classic sandwich with tostones was the best. You can aslo order gluten free bread for the sandwiches! 10/10
Amazing food! Lots of healthy options, including gluten free and vegan. The owners are super nice and the environment is great, they have an outside area with lights and music.
Good range for people with food allergies. Lots of options for gluten free. Im allergic to corn, so was pleased to find an corn free gluten free bread. Tasty too Alternate 'milks' range is good too.
This is probably one of my favorite coffee shops in San Diego! Where do I begin...well first let me say I have a very up and down relationship with coffee (body doesn't always react well to it 😞) but I LOVE COFFEE! And my absolute favorite coffee drink of all time happens to be sold here, The BB Code 👑. It's cold brew coffee with their house made banana milk 🤤. Now I can't always have it because it's cold brew and I get kind of jittery with too much caffeine 😆 but it is amazing! I get mine with chocolate sauce on the inside of the cup. I also like matcha and their orange creamsicle matcha is probably the best matcha drink I've ever had (unfortunately it's a seasonal drink) but hopefully they bring it back 🙏. They also bake all their pastries in house lots of unique flavors but everything I've ever tried has been great! Plus they always have a few gluten free/vegan options daily which my son loves (he's on a strict diet). And lastly the staff is super friendly, they always make you feel welcome. I love this place and always look forward to my Friday forum trip.
The best pad thai ever! I absolutely love this place! I've been going here for over 2 years, it seriously is such a gem. I'm a celiac as well, so the fact that most of the menu is gluten free naturally is a huge plus. Thank you guys for being awesome!
I have been coming to Arely bakery off and on for years. The restaurant is a nice place with great food. It's low key, casual, perfect for Saturday morning breakfast, Sunday brunch, or a quick freshly baked snack or dessert. Speaking of which, I am very happy to see their expansion into vegan and gluten free baked goods.
When I have the time, I come in for oneof their gf muffins. It's light, not very sweet, but just enough.
And of course they serve good coffee, which is most important in the morning orany time ofday really.
It has a strong smell but is delicious. I also go there to eat when I have a cold. In China, there is a type of wheat gluten that can be added to porridge, so I recommend that! Afterwards, we also recommend radish and mushrooms. Goes well with Aoshima beer.
This is a hidden gem. We hit this place up on our way to Carlsbad while on vacation, and it was soooo good! The outside doesn't look like much, but the inside is nice. The food was so good we just kept ordering more items! We got 4 different sushi rolls, cucumber salad, salmon plate, undon noodle soup, and gyoza and it came out pretty quick and full of flavor. The service was excellent! Our waitress was on point and even accommodated our special request in regards to our kids. They have gluten free options. We will definitely be back on our next trip!
Delicious! So, I did some research before heading into town. This place came recommended and it did not disappoint. The newer location is nice, and I should have taken pictures but I didn't because I was distracted by the pizzas. The regular pepperoni was wonderful, yet, the show stopper was the gluten free option my family ordered. Normally, gluten free crusts are lacking, but this was light, crispy, and something I would consider getting as a regular order. I know that sounds blasphemous, but I stand by it.
I had a delicious meal at this Outback location tonight! I appreciate Outback taking the time to make sure there are gluten free dishes/adaptations available, so everyone can enjoy their restaurant. I also had OUTSTANDING service from Olivia! She was pleasant, efficient, and really enhanced my dining experience! I hope the management at this location read this review and recognize her. She’s an asset to this location!
Update seen after 2nd paragraph! (S/p dine-in):
Yummy! The "pink" hummus was one of the best hummus', if not the best I have ever had; the consistency was decadent. The 2 chicken kebobs were juicy. I wish their Babaganoush was dairy free! I would love to try other items on their menu.
I picked my order up to-go, but next time I might dine-in as the restaurant breathed a low-key comfortability. I am thankful for the lovely gentleman who helped me via an outgoing call made to them after placing my order online. Despite their phone prompt system, it would have been easier if I had called before ordering, but even so he was so considerate in his willingness to notice a possible inconsistency within my order.
S/p **dine-in experience*:
Wow! Amazing! So, the server was awesome- he was SOOOO sweet, going above and beyond to cut off the bread that covered the Turkish Lamb Veggie Tajine which he couldn't have explained more efficiently. Honestly, the only server that made 3 options for a foodie the easiest ever lmao 🤣😂😂. I had requested gluten free, hence him cutting it off. It wasn't their fault; I just requested it too late etc.
I also got the Beef Sherwarma Bites which are surprisingly gluten and dairy free! Anyways, just so so nice. But, about the dish- delicioussssssssss
Very nice hostess as well!
