Honestly it’s a cute little spot, but that’s about it.
The food was pretty good but I wouldn’t say it’s worth the price. I do appreciate how easy it was ordering gluten free. The chef has celiac so that’s a HUGE plus. We ordered the pilot burger, fries, spring rolls and steak skewers.
As stated in previous reviews, staff is cold, forgetful and overall not super helpful.
The overall vibe was cute but dirty for charging $40 for burger and fries. Dont get me wrong I love the wood paneling and vintage vibe but you’d expect that bathroom at a dive bar.
If you want a burger with a fun vibe I’d just bite the bullet and drive the extra 30 min to Grnd Sqrl in 29 palms.
First time ordering pizza from here. No joke. We have a hard time finding gluten free pizza. Best pizza I ever had. Absolutely amazing. Will be back next time we are in town.
We didn't have reservations but arrived before opening. Short wait. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable about gluten free. Soooo many GF options - fried chicken!!!!!!! Wish I could eat here everyday
They were understaffed but everyone did an amazing job today. Whoever the solo cook is back there is an absolute rockstar and the staff was very friendly.
Probably the best IHOP experience we’ve ever had. We ordered gluten free pancakes and omelettes and they were all great!
Cute western vibe cafe however the service is one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. My husband and I spent the weekend in Joshua tree and stopped by for lunch on our way out of town. My husband is celiac and clearly requested his food be on gluten free bread. We waited over 30 minutes for our sandwhiches and upon recieving them, discovered my husbands was not on gluten free. The employee working the counter acted extremely annoyed and tried to imply that he hadn’t specified gluten free. Instead of prioritizing making him a new sandwhich on the GF bread he ordered, they said we’d have to wait another 30 minutes or longer for a new one or they could offer us money back for his incorrect order. We took the later. We were starving and decided to take our business elsewhere. Won’t be returning. 0 stars if I could.
Highly recommend - food, ambiance and service are all top notch. The pizzas are amazing (both regular and gluten free versions). The music is great and the karaoke on Wednesday evenings is great. The decor is super cool - punk cowboy meets desert is my best attempt and describing it, the staff is friendly and the food comes quick. Great vibes all around.
This place has excellent food! We come here every time we are in Joshua tree and we are never disappointed. The chicken schwarma is amazing. However I do really wish they did not put noodles in the rice so gluten free people could enjoy it too.
The offerings provided by Luna Sourdough Bakery is a necessity in your life! From Thursday through Sunday, this extraordinary bakery creates some of the most delicious breads, pastries, and sandwiches I’ve ever tasted in my life. They use quality organic ingredients and the owners/chefs simply have great taste and a depth of experience that is apparent upon your first bite. The focaccia bread here is so incredibly delicious. Buy 2 full loaves and eat it throughout the week. I love two different vegan/plant-based sandwiches that are on their menu which are made with the focaccia as well. One gourmet sandwich is made with a homemade chickpea hummus salad along with marinated onions and roasted red bell peppers. My other favorite is a new heirloom tomato variation that is so moist and savory. They speak my love language here! Every detail is just right! Their standards and practices have truly elevated bread baking! Simple things done with reverence and care. I can’t say enough about this place and the mom and pop who create this epicurean magic. While many men are thinking about the Roman Empire, I am thinking about Luna Sourdough Bakery. Remember this bakery before going to your next dinner party or group gathering. Sure, a bottle of wine is nice but bringing a few loaves of bread from Luna is such an incredibly special gesture that everyone will delight in and give thanks!
Side note: Proper coffee is served here. Some vegan/plant-based and gluten-free options are available. Everything is made with LOVE!
They were accommodating when I asked them to make a roll gluten-free. Make sure to ask if a roll has krab sticks in it, though, as they didn't know that krab sticks have wheat in them. Their baked mussels are delicious, and decidedly the reason I go here every time in in the area.
Very accommodating to our gluten allergy. I got a lettuce wrapped burger. The portions are huge, especially their specialty items. We ordered the sandwich with Mac and cheese inside, and it was huge. Overall good service and good food.
Gluten free gluten free!
They don’t advertise this (they should) but 99% of the menu is gluten free! The dumplings, the Chinese donuts! It’s also authentic.
We got the Pho, Panang curry, and dumplings and everything was amazing! Will definitely come back every time I’m in Joshua Tree.
