Super helpful and knowledgeable about dietary restrictions and celiac cross contamination. Our family member with celiac showed no issues after having their "magic waffle." Almond flour was a concern as well and they let us know their GF flour is rice based and vegan. They said they are proud of their GF blend and we agree that they should be.
To go above and beyond for service, they asked when we would consume the waffles to know how much to cool them down and keep them from getting soggy.
Its hard to find places so accommodating and polite, this is a gem you dont want to miss if you are GF or just craving a good waffle.
We have been to Mandolas at least three times. The first time I ordered the eggplant sandwich but the eggplant was not well done. They gave me a free meal for it. The next time the eggplant was excellent. The last time, yesterday, I ordered spaghetti, gluten-free, well done. It was not well done so I returned it and they offered chicken with vegetables. The chicken was tasty but dry and tough. When I told one manager, he disappeared. The other manager was kind enough to give us our entire meals for free, however I only wanted consideration for my meal, not for my husband's meal. He was happy with his. The place is always full during lunch and dinner so I'm sure a lot of people are happy with their food. Being gluten free, it's more challenging for me to get a good meal.
My husband has celiac and Tazikis is very accommodating. They've even called to clarify my order to make sure they were preparing it safely. The food is fresh and delicious as well! Highly recommend.
Looked clean. Ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap (gluten free). The wrap came out quickly. It was essentially 3/4 lettuce and less than a 1/4 of chicken. There was no actual Buffalo sauce on the chicken. It was a white cream like sauce that tasted essentially like black pepper. It always edible but not what I ordered. My husband paid $24 for a 12oz juice and this wrap which is clearly insanely overpriced for what I received. Not to mention they market themselves as a health food restaurant and then give you chips with sunflower oil in them as a side.
I had a very well educated server who was able to make tons of suggestions. They do have gluten free bagels that aren’t listed on the menu. Do not order the hollandaise sauce. They were very accommodating regarding requests and questions
