We eat at Grindhouse about twice every month, and keep coming back for the consistently-good food. They get popular & sometimes you’ll need to park down the street to hike & might need to wait. But the food/service is great, for both dine-in and takeout. Be sure to try their App for pickup/takeaway orders
My partner is both gluten free (Celiac) and vegetarian, and I LOVE that she can have an Impossible Patty with GF bun while I chow down on a double cowboy style with extra Grindhouse sauce. (NOTE: They have a shared fryer, so she avoids the fries & onion rings because she’s super-sensitive … but she’s never had any tummy problems from the GF bun & impossible patty).
I love this restaurant for many reasons. The food is incredible, the flavors diverse, and the menu is flexible. We are gluten-free (not by choice), and there are good gf choices on the menu already, but the chef will also make most menu items gluten free upon request. The space is small and always busy, and it’s in kind an uninteresting spot, but when I walk into the restaurant, it immediately becomes an amazing experience beyond just dinner. We’ve loved every meal and drink we’ve ordered, and the service is so friendly and fun! Good vibes overall!!
The prices are good. The staff are friendly. No free chips, but the bonus is there's 6 different salsa choices and you can take as much as you want. That's my style. And the salsas were so good!
The chicken taco was stellar. The carnita was solid. The rice with pico was uninteresting. Lots of gluten free menu options for my partner.
Superb margherita pizza- the basil tasted fresh and the mozzarella melted perfectly. Got an order of tiramisu as well, and the top layer powder was thick and settled, like it should be. The ladyfingers were adequately soaked- I review tiramisu from everywhere I go, and I was pleasantly surprised that Vinny's N.Y. Pizza is in my top 3 for tiramisu.
I just wish I could order a smaller margherita than the 16" online, without getting a gluten free crust. That pie is huge!
