Beautiful, cozy, esay going, clean, delicious food and excellent service. If you're in town, make time to visit. Do come with an empty stomach, servings are on the plentyfull side!!! Great variety of offerings with gluten-free and vegetarian plates as well as local meats.
Pizza was great, but more importantly to me, the staff were friendly, welcoming and made the experience enjoyable. The gluten free crust / pizza was very good and my family and I will definitely be going back.
This is an excellent place with fantastic service. They offer a gluten-free menu for those with dietary restrictions. Had a phenomenal experience there recently on a family outing, and Shannon, our server, truly went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. If I could put six stars in the 'service' category, I would.
Great experience on a quick stop! They had vegan options and gluten free options which was great for our whole party. We sat outside and the staff even brought out some water for our pup. Would recommend anyone stop through for good pizza.
Amazing!! They came early and made sure everything was set up. All of our guests raved about the macaroons and cupcakes and my husband and I loved our personal German Chocolate cake!! I have attached a photo of our cake, but I highly recommend for anyone having their wedding, great price and quality!!
Also: my mom is gluten free and she said their cupcakes are some of the best GF cupcakes she’s ever had!!
It had been many years since we've been to a pizza ranch. The lady at the cash register was very helpful, helped us order the buffet your way with our gluten free pizzas!!! They came out in gluten free labeled boxes and we got to have the whole pizza! The salad bar was also nicely kept with any gluten ingredients at the end of the line!! An awesome experience, we will definitely be back!!!
They have amazing gluten free options! And the gluten free dishes are marked right on the menu so there’s no confusion. I’ve had the pad thai and the Thai fried rice, which were both awesome.
Really enjoyed our dinner there. The food was great, portions were generous, and our server was attentive. Bonus was they have a gluten-free menu with several options on it. However, one of my pet peeves is paying for upscale food but having a table set with paper napkins. Everything about this restaurant, including the prices, screamed cloth napkins to me.
Huge breakfast portions with clearly defined gluten free options. Insane amount of food for the price and rarely packed with people to the point where it's uncomfy. Not the ideal environment if you have little kids because it's quiet and might be stressful trying to keep the kids' vibe under control. The staff was so kind to us and unbothered by my semi-fussy baby and it was definitely a me thing, just a heads up for anxious moms. The booths are tall, so it feels pretty secluded if you want to go on a breakfast date. Really yummy Bloody Marys as a bonus!
We also did our wedding dinner here in a private room and it was 1) delicious and 2) they were extremely accommodating to the 20ish or so of us. A great place if you want a private meal with a pretty big group of people.
There is a gluten free menu, you just have to ask for it. The staff is kind, but service is a little slow. Not the place to go if you are in a hurry but a nice place to eat if you have time to relax and enjoy the view of the river.
Really cool vibe. Dubuque needs more places with this kind of atmosphere. The quinoa pulled pork bowl was amazing as are the chips. Some nice gluten free and vegetarian options as well. We'll be back!
As a Celiac, I felt incredibly safe eating here and had plenty to choose from. The food was fresh and was incredibly full of flavor. The atmosphere is warm but eclectic and the staff were friendly. We will be back.
One of my daughters has celiac, so finding places to eat out can be difficult. My family is from central Minnesota and we were visiting our oldest daughter that lives in Dubuque. We didn't know the best celiac friendly places to eat. We were shopping at the mall around lunch time and decided to check and see if HuHot Mongolian Grill was safe for her to eat after we had no luck making calls to nearby restaurants. They were great, super friendly and helpful! Our biggest worry is crossed contamination, but it was not a problem. Only thing that had gluten were their noodles and sauces. They had the gluten noodles separated from the gluten free rice noodles by a tray zucchini noodles. The sauces were clearly markes GF. The cook cleaned part of the grill and closed it off with some spatulas so we could see it was separate. Our waitress kept my daughter stocked with rice also. This might not seem like much to anyone that doesn't deal with gluten allergies, but to my daughter it was a lot. This was to first all you can eat style restaurant that she has been to since see was diagnosed 10yrs ago. We recommend this place! Full disclosure we went during weekday around 1:30pm so they weren't as busy at the time.
Didn't care for the butternut squash ravioli (unexpectedly sweet and almondy) so they took that off the bill. Everyone else loved their food. Gluten free buns and gluten free pasta available. Nice atmosphere and they seated our group of 7 with very little wait on a Friday night.
The pizza was good. However, it is not safe for someone with celiac disease. Yes they have a gluten-free crust option, but cross contamination will happen. Shortly after eating the pizza, I did not feel well and still don't.
Amazing! Even during the busy time, service was fast and friendly, food and drink were delicious. Bonus: the owner was passing through and let us try a new gluten free, blueberry cheesecake muffin...Buy them all! LOVE having this gem of a cafe right in our backyard! ❤️
When I went a month ago the person taking the order was super confused and didn’t know what was gluten free or not. Definitely look online at the nutrition facts before you go so you know what you’re looking for.
We ordered food from here. Highly disappointed.
When we had it delivered, We noticed right away our meal was not the gluten-free that we ordered.
We specifically ordered here because they had gluten-free. We have celiac disease.
When I called the restaurant not only were they not helpful, They sent us to the delivery person to recoup the money. The delivery person sent us to the restaurant. It's still not satisfied. We were unable to eat. $96 down the drain
I highly suggest the Big Jim pizza. Recently bought 4 pizzas for a small get together (including gluten free) and all were wonderful. Toppings and cheese to the edge with nice crispy cheese edges.
Amazing owners and great service. Cares about their customers and their wellbeing. Even offers gluten free food for people with allergies which I really appreciate! Everyone is so welcoming!
Participated in a family baby shower and it was a great party venue! The food was very tasty (slider and fries bar with toppings and vegies with dips). We were able to bring in special items like gluten free products and decorated cookies. Very tasty selections of beers and ciders (unfortunately the NA beer was not available). Staff were very attentive, and everything was clean and well organized. Nice amount of space for a large crowd, and plenty of things for kids to enjoy (duck pin bowling, pool tables, basement arcade). Comfortable seating and plenty of room to circulate and visit. Thanks to the great group of staff who made for a fun day!
