Despite growing crowds - and wait times - for their much-buzzed about breakfast, there's still more than meets the eye to this vine neighborhood gem after all these years. Equal parts brunch spot and weekend fourth meal mecca, Crow's Nest hums with energy at the end of the week, slinging sandwiches, pancakes, and eggs to less-than-sober diners throughout the night. Their menu itself is as varied as the vibe throughout the day, offering well-executed American classics alongside a variety of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. House favorites include French toast - served in a number of guises ranging from plain to pecan sticky bun - as well as egg specialties, and house-baked quick breads. Try it all, you can hardly go wrong.

Please be careful here if you have any allergies. This use to be my go to spot, but the last two times I’ve been, something has gone wrong either in my coffee or food order. Today I went and they had discontinued the vegan egg option, so we ordered a gluten free bagel with the few other allergen free things we could attempt (mainly veggies) and they still put a regular egg patty on even though we stated we are vegan and I have an egg allergy. A kind worker offered to remake it, which was appreciated. We really wish places maintained their limited options for those with allergies. I feel unsafe returning due to the last few errors, and would hate for someone to be allergened. I know accidents happen, but to the workers here PLEASE take food allergies seriously. A dear friend of mine was hospitalized multiple times due to oversights.
