We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Antonia's Restaurant in Hillsborough NC and were amazed by the venue. We worked with the culinary staff to create a customized menu for our event and it was difficult for us to narrow down the options. We were even able to have some dishes prepared for some of our guests who had gluten allergies, which was a huge plus for us. If you are looking for a cozy place for your rehearsal dinner, we would definitely recommend Antonia's Restaurant.
The food here is always fantastic. It can sometimes get very crowded and loud but that's just a sign of a good restaurant. The menus are marked with what is gluten free and the servers usually ask if there are any food allergies.
Such a rude attitude from the staff. I have a gluten allergy and all I got was them not wanting to do the bear minimum to accommodate me. All I asked was for separate lettuce and mayo and he sighed and rolled his eyes, and said all they usually do is change gloves. Do not offer gluten free options if you are not willing to accommodate.
We just moved to the area and have been to Kim’s Bake Shop a few times now. It has now become a staple in our house! Our little ones love when we go. The food is always delicious, including their gluten free options. I can’t even tell they are gluten free and are so good. Plus, their French press coffee is the absolute best! The staff has always been very friendly when we have gone in as well! So happy we found an amazing bakery 😄

Great place to meet for coffee or a light meal and go for a walk along the river. Convenient parking. Great selection of JPs bakery items both gluten-free and vegan. Nice small selection of groceries, but not enough to do all of your grocery shopping.
The custard was really good. Both vanilla and chocolate were flavorful, not just backdrops for toppings. They don't mark gluten free options or have gluten free cones. The prices are fair and the portions plentiful. I would definitely go back.
This place is an experience more than anything. The majority of the seating is outdoors with music and lots of blooming plants. It's really lovely and rustic, though the music was so loud we couldn't hear our conversation. If you want a relaxed meal, definitely sit indoors.
The food was fresh, and there were lots of options. Oddly, no prices are listed on the menu. My table enjoyed the carnitas, diablo tacos, and chori pollo. I went here because it was recommended in the local gluten free forum, though only two items on the menu were actually marked gluten free --pico and chips. The rest requires inquiry and modification, which was easily and safely done.
They surprisingly had a good selection of gluten/grain free choices as well as options for healthier pasta and snacks cheaper than the other stores I usually go to.
I got gelato and my wife got sorbet. Both were delicious! The gelato was rich, creamy, and full of flavor and not overly sweet. The sorbet was very yummy too! Lots of unique sorbet flavor options which is a breath of fresh air for a non-dairy dessert lover. And they also have flavors labeled as nut free and gluten free. The service was very friendly and kind as well :)
Always good coffee and friendly, inviting, atmosphere. They always have a fun specialty drink and great bakery items. It looks like they now carry JP’s gluten free baked goods too!

Your restaurant was a lovely, welcoming, bright respite in between errands this afternoon. Thank you for having gluten-free and dairy-free options that are simple and delicious. I enjoyed your salsa and chips and the grilled fish tacos on corn tortillas. The renovated interior is very nice; clean and bright. The service was thoughtful and expedient.
