Trader Joe's isn't just a grocery store; it's an experience. From the moment you step inside, there's a distinct vibe that sets it apart, and it's all incredibly positive.
First and foremost, the cleanliness of every Trader Joe's I've ever visited is consistently impressive. It's always tidy, well-organized, and a genuinely pleasant environment to shop in. This attention to detail extends to their staff, who are, without exception, some of the friendliest and most helpful grocery store employees you'll encounter. They're always ready with a smile, a recommendation, or an answer to your questions, making every trip feel welcoming.
But beyond the immaculate aisles and cheerful crew, what truly makes me adore Trader Joe's is their incredible and ever-evolving variety of unique and "fun" foods. Where else can you find ready to cook plantains, korean bibimbap bowls or delightful Japanese pancakes ready to be whipped up? They make grocery shopping an adventure, constantly introducing me to new flavors and exciting ingredients. I particularly love their diverse selection of produce, like the beautiful, plump figs.
And let's not forget the flowers! Their floral section is consistently stunning, offering beautiful, affordable bouquets.
My fave for my daughter and I: Trader Joes exceptional gluten-free bakery selection. This isn't just an afterthought; it's a thoughtfully curated collection of genuinely delicious treats. I can confidently say that some of the best gluten-free desserts I've ever had, from any local grocery store, have come from Trader Joe's. They manage to create gluten-free options that don't compromise on taste or texture, a feat many other stores struggle with.
In essence, Trader Joe's nails the trifecta: a clean and inviting atmosphere, wonderful and personable staff, and an unparalleled selection of exciting, high-quality, and often unique products – all wrapped up with an outstanding gluten-free bakery that keeps me coming back for more.
This place is fantastic. Soooooo many options, cookies, cupcakes, cakes, donuts, pastries, varoetu breads & also gluten-free options. Everything tasted great and all the employees are so nice and helpful..... FYI - only cash/check
I can get gluten free food here so that’s great. Food is good. I like the potato salad. Sometimes I choose curbside pickup and nobody comes out. Aggravating.
We had a large group together for a birthday party. The food was average at best. The tomato sauce is more sweet than savory. The servings are large. If you want to split a meal they charge you $9 for a plate. The moscato was wonderful but at $16 a glass it would have been worth the expense to buy a bottle at $42. 5 glasses of wine in 750 ml bottle. My significant other had ordered pizza. Pizza is only available two days a week in the actual restaurant. We were there on Saturday night, June 7, 2024. They do have a “deli” in the same building for pizza and submarine options. I had to get up from our table to inquire why his pizza had not arrived. Unacceptable!! We had almost finished eating when his pizza arrived. It was over baked. The crust was very dark. I asked why his pizza had not arrived until now. Her response was it was baked to perfection. Lie! It was burnt. No offer to comp the pizza. The group bill was almost $700. That is another complaint. They absolutely do not separate the bill. Why? The gratuity was 20% based on the size of the group. The waitress did not have to provide 5 star service because the gratuity was already going to be given. It was a great experience to celebrate the birthday and visit with friends and family but as far as the restaurant experience it was very disappointing. My first time going to this restaurant located in Kettering, Ohio. Service was ok. It was a large group. Less and less attention to the customers as we were getting closer to finishing. There are gluten free food options but not sure if they have a true separate kitchen to prevent cross contamination.
I am gluten free and have celiac disease and there are always very helpful and accommodating! The manager always goes out of their way to make sure my pizza is properly done. They are always very kind and understanding!
Cute little cafe style eatery with Bibibop food style options but definitely more healthy and without worry of cross-contamination. My husband is diabetic and I am celiac with dairy allergy. We can both eat here easily. I love that the food tastes the same every time, no surprises, it’s always good and you can tell that it’s clean and healthy.
Overall one of our favorite places to have breakfast or eat in general. We really love the staff and atmosphere here. We were served by Liz this last time and she was really wonderful. My fiancé has a ton of allergies and they have a good selection we can pick from and they are always helpful with getting things sorted out. The Managment is awesome and when things as little as needing gluten free toast they are so kind and helpful with getting our orders right ☺️ we will be seeing them again soon and will continue to give them business.
I've enjoyed this restaurant in the past and always thought the dining room could use a little TLC and the quality of the buffet could improve. We hadn't visited since 2020 and came in for lunch today. We were pleasantly surprised by new chairs and booths, a new flow for the restaurant and nice clean tables and linens. The buffet has been replaced with a lunch/dinner menu with full service but great prices. Lunch entrees start at 9.99 and include 1.5 portion. We ordered three lunch entrees and make our own table buffet to speak of. Loved the Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, and Chicken Biriyani. We will be back again. Server was knowledgeable about gluten ingredients. I'm celiac and felt comfortable eating here. Cheers Ajanta! Well done recovering from the past few years.
FYI: Celiac beware. NOT completely a Celiac disease-friendly restaurant. The atmosphere and wait-staff are great. They do have gluten-free pizza crust. I’m very disappointed that they are not sympathetic to people who suffer from Celiac Disease otherwise. I asked if they have gluten-free bread. I was told they did and could make some for me. Then, the waitress came out and said it would be an extra $4 charge to have the gluten-free bread. I cannot eat their wheat bread… so I save them on their complimentary bread there— they could give us less wheat bread since I cannot eat it… but they want to charge me $4 so I can partake in their herbs and oil with gluten-free bread to be able to actually eat it. Very disappointed in Figlio. I won’t be back.
I was skeptical because I mean gluten-free pizza should be like an oxymoron that it was pretty darn good extra cheese, of course…. it really hit the spot
Such a great neighborhood spot for delicious Italian food! We love their pizza, but everything is delicious. They even have an amazing gluten free/cauliflower crust pizza! Perfect patio when the weather is nice. ☺️
Tried this place since they have gluten free option. You can get gluten free toast, and French toast. I didn’t get the French toast. The toast was ok. I’m kind of a gluten-free bread snob… lol I think they used UDI brand, not sure, but it isn’t a brand I like. I only ate a few bites of a 1/4 slice. The omelet was delicious. The hash browns remind me of Waffle House, but they were ok. I’m not sure I was go again, but wouldn’t say no if invited.
My favorite menu item doesn't even contain pasta. I order the avocado chop salad every time. I am gluten intolerant and so grateful I have another place I can go with a GF option. The bonus is that it is SO good.
