Breakfast was great. Service was stellar - thank you Jenn!
We had the SoCal Hash. One of us is gluten free so subsituted GF toast for corn tortillas as the server said the corn tortillas had wheat in them.
Food was very fresh and tasty. (Note- If someone is on a low-salt diet, this particular dish might not be the best option.)
Would definitely return.
An “eclectic eatery” is an accurate description of the Kraken’s Cup. Such a charming destination, with a wide variety of teas, from which to choose. During my most recent visit, I selected a black tea, aptly named Black Arrow, an Earl Gray tea, with fruity notes and hints of vanilla. The tea sandwiches were absolutely delicious, as well as the tea cakes and assorted confections, which were delightful. Each guest receives their own tea pot, cozy, cups and saucers, each beautifully crafted and uniquely delicate.
If you like high tea, you will love this tea room. They even have gluten free options. I highly recommend this hidden gem in found in Fountain City!
When asked which of their salad dressings were gluten free, the person in the kitchen that appeared to be the manager said “she should know what she is allowed and not allowed to have”. I do know what I am allowed to have and not have, but I do not know what their products have in it. This comment was rude and unnecessary, especially from a manager. Good luck getting any support from the people when you have questions about their menu as it relates to allergies, though their menu offers some assistance with more gluten-friendly options.
However, the food and tea were good but the service from the management team was less than stellar and the attitude was strong with this one….the young lady running the register tried though and I appreciated her effort!
Enjoyed our burgers at Littons. My wife must eat gluten free and ordered the gf bun. The server asked if she wanted fries and my wife asked if they were gluten free or were they fried in a shared fryer? The server said she didn’t know anything about gluten . At an establishment such as Littons why would they not train on food allergies? And get some comfortable seating ( straight wooden back benches are terrible). But the food was good.
