Drew is the best! He was so fast and knew everything about the menu to cater our meals according to our gluten and lactose restrictions. The restaurant is such a vibe too. 10/10 would recommend, especially if you’re going with a big group of friends.
I know there are a lot of other great pizza places in Austin but I keep going back to MOD for several reasons.
They are great for people with dietary restrictions. My vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and nightshade allergy folks can all go here and find something yummy to eat. I, personally, can’t eat tomatoes so I love that they have several sauce options that aren’t tomato based. The garlic rub and the white sauce are my favorites.
MOD also has a lot of topping options and don’t charge extra for more toppings. Their ricotta cheese is great on a veggie pizza. Everything is fresh. Their crust is nice and thin and crispy so I don’t feel like I’m eating a whole loaf of bread when I eat a couple slices of pizza.
Their online ordering system is really good and easy to use. It just takes a minute or two to put in an order and then pick it up from the store.
The employees are MOD are very kind and helpful. They do a great job making sure I get all my toppings and that the bake is just right on the pizza.
Compared to other chains, this is the best pizza you can find.
SO GOOD! RUN, DON’T WALK!!! I know that sounds dramatic, and maybe it is, but we seriously loved it. I have been to quite a few vegan places wherever we travel. I could not believe how beautiful this place was and most importantly, how delicious. The cheeses are out of this world. My husband got a gluten free sandwich, the caprese I believe. It had pesto and mozzarella - super good! I got the bacon brie and me on their normal bread and that was really good! They do offer gf vegan bacon. Cheeses were amazing! We got a cheese platter that comes with cheese, nuts, and the strawberry habanero jam (AMAZIN). Definitely loved the truffle brie, tomato fromage, pepper jack, and blue cheese. I am jealous for the people who live in Austin and are blessed by this place. Also, service was amazing. Everyone was super helpful and kind. Definitely will order online!! 🥰
I’ve visited Colleen’s twice. A happy hour on the patio that included appetizers and a Saturday brunch inside the main dining area. There’s a lot to appreciate about this place. It’s a family-run restaurant with a nice vibe. High-quality ingredients and the food is prepared well. Our waitress was only semi-friendly but very knowledgeable about options for dietary restrictions, like gluten free. Example: She knew the grits were from a local mill and not safe for people with gluten intolerance. And the french fries were fried in the same oil as breaded foods but the breakfast home fries were not. There were also two managers helping out servers to keep things flowing smoothly, and seemed to genuinely care that everyone had a good experience. Another great plus: The restaurant validates parking. The drawbacks for me were the very limited menu, especially for brunch, which is served 10a to 2:30p on Saturdays and Sundays. And from that limited menu, only a small percentage of foods could be made gluten free. Just salads and two breakfast sandwiches with the sides swapped out for home fries. Though props that the breakfast sandwich was served with good gluten-free bread.
The gluten-free pie was amazing and Rochelle and Gianna’s positive attitudes and service made the experience 10x better. Really recommend if you’re in the area looking for a good meal.
We loved our cake! And it was GLUTEN FREE! It was beautiful, delicious, and a wonderful centerpiece. I am so thankful to Quacks for working with me. They took pictures and ideas and created a beautiful piece of art!
You must grab a coffee from Streamway and walk around the Mueller Park pond! My iced oat milk latte was excellent. They have vegan milk alternatives. Select food is gluten free and vegan. Plenty of parking available. Located in a small area next to the hangar among a couple other food trucks. Picnic tables available to sit at that are shaded. The woman working here was so sweet!
Really good food with gluten free options. Service is prompt and friendly. Have been there many times an have yet to be let down. Jus wish they had more authentic Thai hot sauce choices. Definitely try them if your in the area.
