Disclaimer: mainly went to make my wife jealous that I got to eat here since I was by myself....however I also wanted to go based on previous reviews.
The food was solid. Good portions (which I normally wouldn't say in most reviews) and great quality food. The strawberry butter was really good and I'm not the type to get excited about butter.
They also have mocktails which is nice. I was here on a hot June day and the Cherry Fizz was a solid choice.
My waitress was also pretty knowledgeable about what food is safe for me (Celiac's) and able to ensure everything was safe.
Overall for the portion and quality of the food everything it was relatively inexpensive considering I had eggs.
This barbecue spot features a lively atmosphere with classic touches like checkered tablecloths and a relish bar. The staff's careful handling and glove changes ensure a safe gluten-free dining experience, complemented by a friendly, no-fuss Texas-style setting.
Step into a historic diner with nostalgic '50s to '70s vibe, featuring checkered black and white tiles and cozy booth seating. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff create a great setting for those seeking gluten-free dining options with care and charm.

First of all, shout out to Brynley for being the most amazing service provider! George’s is that place that a lot of restaurants wish they could be. They have a menu with options that can please even the most finicky of diners. Our group have a vegan, a vegetarian, meat lovers, and gluten free musts. This place was able to make each of us happy. We visited the place a few times during our weekend in Waco. It may sound like a college hangout, but it is much more, it’s a family. Food portions are large, prices are affordable and the drinks are huge. As I am the reviewer, I will say that I had amazing veggie fajitas sizzling with mushrooms and warm tortillas. Fantastic! Give George O’s a try the next time you’re traveling through or staying in Waco. good food and fun times!
