A wonderful addition to the area - i've always felt that it's nice to be close to a place that has an atmosphere that feels like i'm in the city. I enjoy the food, the wood-oven pizza is a must try - so delicious, light yet filling (even better the next day if you take home) and they can cater to a gluten free dough which is wonderful for myself and my family members with coeliac. Staff are wonderful, profressional and delightful always. Love the interior and restaurant layout - feels very comfortable, stylish, and approachable. Great for dinner, drinks and wine selection is brilliant too - all of this here on Jetty Rd in Brighton. A definite reccomendation of mine for anyone who wants a place to try!

I am very impressed with the new Charlie's. We went 1 year ago and it has improved again since then. The food has really gone up a level. So many delicious choices of main and dessert. I was particularly impressed with the very wide selection of gluten free options! I even got a freshly cooked gf pizza which was delicious. Tender, tasty curries with papadums, crispy crackling with tender roast beef and pork. Every choice tasted freshly cooked. I think they have improved their rotation of food so nothing sits on the warmer too long. Almost every dessert was gf and delicious including sticky date pudding, apple crumble, pav, icecream to name a few. At almost $40 per person before discount for children eat free some nights, I would say it is expensive for us but worth it for value and quality. Staff were exceptionally helpful, especially the kitchen staff who took their time to answer my questions. If you want a quiet meal request to be further from the playground, which although is in its own room, is a noisy place to sit nearby. If you want to arrive anytime and stay as long as you want, request the mezzanine. Otherwise they have 2 seatings downstairs. Kids eat free Monday and Tuesday nights.

Saturday lunch - four of us ordered all different meals. Everything was fresh and well cooked. The team catered for gluten free options and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Went to this restaurant for breakfast spent over $90 for our table, following reading the good reviews and the alternative gluten free options having a 3 year old requiring gluten free options. I ordered a mango smoothie for myself and it was disguisting not an ounce of mango flavour after complaining the girl refused an alternative drink option unless we paid for it again and offered to remake the drink stating If she made it, it would taste much nicer (she made the first one) not to cause I scene I agreed to her re making not only did myself and my husband see her put a straw in to taste my previous drink returned, to feel as though I was making it up, she then drank out of my new smoothie before proceeding to hand me it and that one tasted just as foul I even got my husband to have a sip to ensure it wasn't my taste buds I walked out and threw the drink straight into the bin and we won't be returning here again. The food was delicious but the drink was foul, the girls customer service was foul, and the fact in viewing she chucked a straw in to taste the drink she made before handing it to me was very off putting and unacceptable.
