We celebrated my husbands birthday, dinner for two. We shared the full size kale ceasar salad with roasted chick peas and gluten free. The truffled chicken dinner and scallop, pork belly risotto were delicious. Their bartender makes great classic margaritas too. McKenzie our server was friendly and attentative to my gluten free needs. It always feels safe eating gluten free here. The chef plans to put their gluten free fish n chips back on the menu soon, they are delicious. Looking forward to that. Its so difficult to find gluten free fish n chips. We will be back.
The food was very good. The fish is cooked in a cider batter that is gluten free. Many other items on the menu that are gluten free. I would rate the wings as on the higher quality end comparatively. Service was good. The waitress was attentive and knowledgeable on the menu. We were seated promptly without reservations. I would try a different dessert next time. The one pictured wasn't bad but not my taste. I would recommend this location.
In May, passing through Kingston, we were looking for a restaurant that had gluten free meals and found Otter Creek. What a great find. The menu is safe for celiacs but regular buns are available for people who aren’t gluten free. Super clean, friendly service, inside and sidewalk seating. Food is good too.
MAC’s bake shop shares the space and has good coffee and deserts, both gluten free and regular. This is an added bonus.
Good food (gluten and lactose free), great service. The patio is dark and feels very confining. No sunshine at all. It's summer, let the sun in!!
$150 for 2 lunches, 3 drinks.
As always the Keg is a sure win for dinner when in Kingston. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about food allergies like Celiac. Our sever (Artty) was on top of our needs right from the start. The food was excellent as always.
One of my favourite places to eat. Food is always excellent. Gluten free and I’ve never had a reaction from cross contamination. Staff is good, pleasant and speedy. Ran into a NYF rep today and asked about the forks but… Canadian legislation is against us for the awful wooden (easily breakable) forks. This is a monthly stop to NYF for me for the last couple years, at least! 👍
We dropped in without a reservation and were warmly made welcome. We were assured that our vegetarian and gluten-free dietary needs could be met, and they were!
What made our visit extra special was our waiter. He was excellent. No request was a problem, at all. He was quick and efficient, great suggestions, and not overly familiar. Excellent waiter!
Crave is the spot in Kingston for baked goods, coffees and sandwiches! They have such a good selection of treats and everything is soooo yummy. They have gluten free and vegan options too. It’s always busy for a reason, and though you may struggle to get seating on a weekend, it’s still worth a stop to get something delicious. And if you are lucky enough to get a spot to seat, it’s a great place to study, meet with friends or work on your laptop.
📍Sima Sushi
⭐️8/10
55 pc party tray - $69.95
Red dragon - $14.95
Sima sushi is a great downtown Kingston sushi option! Since it's sushi, it is definitely on the pricier side, but the quality is nice. They also currently don't have dine-in so you will have to find a place to eat elsewhere. We got the 55 piece party tray, which was a decent size for 4 people. They also provide gluten-free soy sauce and certain sushi items upon request!

The food was really good and they had many options, especially gluten free. Items marked spicy could use a little more spice. Service and ambiance was comfortable.
Delicious 😍
I eat a cheeseburger & a buffalo ranch GF poutine and is the best GF poutine that i eat ! I take de recommandation in a glutenfree Quebec Facebook group. Eat when you have intolerance or allergies is complicated et sadly but BBQ Babes give me smile !!!!
I have celiac and can’t eat anywhere in this city but here. I am beyond impressed with how much care they have for their gluten free pizza and will recommend to anyone and everyone. 10/10 would recommend and will order again and again.
This was my one of my fave travel breakfasts ever.
There were two Coco Frutti locations I visited in Kingston and this one was a bit more upscale. I believe the building is newer, the decor was fancier and I really loved the atmosphere.
The menu offers plenty of choice without being overwhelming. They also serve alcohol, and anyone who knows me is well aware of my mimosa obsession. The mimosa here is top notch.
My server was Rebecca, such a hard-working and sweet person. The restaurant was busy and she was the only server I saw. If she was handling the whole place by herself, you would never know. She handled those tables like a pro.
The computer system even went down shortly after I'd placed my order. The guys at the table in front of me had to wait for their bill, but she was so apologetic and professional. Handled that situation like a pro too. She never missed a beat.
I was so excited about the Tex-Mex Benny. I could even get the poached eggs and veggies on a gluten-free buckwheat crepe. It was such a treat. The hollandaise at some places can be too mustard forward, but it is perfectly balanced here. The plate also came with guacamole and crispy potatoes that were tender inside. The breakfast was fabulous, just fantastic and I ate every bite.
Both locations were very good, but this one edged the other out in decor/seating/colour scheme of the building and there were more veggies on the benny at this location. But both servers were top notch.
I tipped Rebecca well. That girl was working so hard and never broke her professional, kind manner. Some places treat me less than being a solo diner, but she treated me like every other table and even took the time to ask me about my day. It's a serious plus when your server take the time to get to know you a little bit. She asked me if I made a mistake with the tip and I told her no, she was working so hard and always making the best of a situation that was difficult at times. She teared up. Such a sweet hardworking person. She made the experience as much as the food and drink did.
If you want a fantastic breakfast/brunch, stop in here. You will not be disappointed. I definitely want to visit Kingston again and will always stop in here for that amazing Tex-Mex Benny!
Updating my ad as a regular to pitapit across ontario- In the midst of the lunch rush, the employees Brandon & Marion stood out today- taking exceptional care leaving me with nothing but confidence as a gluten-free diner.
The food is AMAZING, the staff is so attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is lovely.
Edit : I was told everything I got was gluten free and I was really excited about that because I have celiac disease, but I got really sick after so I don’t believe everything was ☹️
"An Absolute Gem for Mexican Cuisine!"
Guac Mexi Grill is hands down the best spot for fresh, flavorful Mexican food! The burritos are packed with generous portions of perfectly seasoned ingredients, and the gluten-free tortilla option is a game-changer for anyone with dietary restrictions.
The customer service is top-notch—friendly, quick, and attentive. I was especially impressed by how accommodating the staff was with customizing my meal. The vibrant atmosphere and clean, inviting space make it a perfect place to grab a meal with friends or family.
Their signature guacamole is out of this world, and every bite tastes like it’s made with love. Whether you're craving tacos, enchiladas, or a loaded burrito bowl, this place delivers every single time.
Highly recommend Guac Mexi Grill to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Mexican food. Five stars all the way! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
We ordered gluten free as my child is allergic. Pizza was delivered with no gluten free sticker and no way to know if it was safe to serve him or not. We called to enquire and put on hold and hung up on several times without ever speaking to a person. We were forced to drive to the location in person while the other food we ordered got cold. Zero customer service and a mediocre product. Will never order from here again.
The service was absolutely great—friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. I’m giving a 4-star rating mainly because I think the menu could use a bit more variety, especially for those with dietary restrictions. It would be great to see more options that cater to different needs, like gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian or allergy-friendly choices.
That said, the food we did try was absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I’d definitely come back again and would recommend it to friends. Looking forward to seeing how the menu evolves over time!
My husband has celiac disease and they were so accommodating. The staff came out a couple of times to ensure the food we ordered he could eat.
The food itself was fantastic. Excellent service !!
The vibes were absolutely amazing and the food was also delicious. There were options for vegetarians and options to swap out for gluten free! I got their espresso martini (it was called a javatini) and it was the best Ive had. Very sweet and not too strong, a good amount of foam on top too. My chicken tacos were also delicious. The only thing I would say is that the portions are definitely not huge but it was great regardless. It was so cute in there. The service was also very good.
We were visiting from out of town and had our food delivered to our hotel. I called beforehand to check about gluten free options for my daughter with coeliac disease. The owner was very accommodating and pleasant to speak to. We had souvlaki and chickebab dinners with greek and caesar salad, as well as the fresh garlic shrimp. The portions were huge and all the food was excellent! I haven’t had Greek food this delicious in a long time.
This is a great little restaurant that has kebab and shawarma but lots of Indian inspire dishes as well. I am hesitant to tell people how great the Nihari is out of fear that there won't be enough if I want it... it is cooked to be so tender and the flavour of the gravy is peppery yet rich. The menu is full of gems and the staff are friendly and can guide to you to the right foods for those with dietary restrictions such as gluten-free needs.
For those with Celiac or gluten free folks... We were trying to find dining options that had different gluten free options. We read that Rose and Crown has a DEDICATED fryer for fish and chips for those of us that have celiac. The batter is excellent an the fish was great (not a big fish fan unless it is there lol) and the staff is always great. Thank you so much for something different :)
Amazing! Loved the mango avocado roll! Husband is celiac and had no troubles with their Gluten Free options that are clearly marked on the menu. They even have gluten free soy sauce!
My grandma can’t have gluten and the manager was so kind and happy to help she found out everything she could about what my grandma could eat! She was super nice! Our waitress was new, and she said we were her first big group of people and she was amazing! Like a pro! I was very satisfied with the food and service!!

My husband and I came here for my birthday and Michaela made it a very fun experience. She was very sweet, funny and gave us great service. The food was delicious and they had good gluten free options for myself. Thank you!
