I wasn’t impressed with the overall experience. They don’t tell you if there is an added cost to anything, just bring it to you and tack it on the bill. They also advertise free coffee on Tuesdays but because I didn’t order a feature breakfast, it didn’t count. Really? I still had breakfast and paid extra for onions and gluten free bread. As for the place, it is extremely outdated and is in great need of a facelift. The food was good, but not good enough for a $ 42 breakfast for 2.
Amazing lunch with my mom! Melody was the BEST server I've had in years!! The muscles and gluten free pasta was terrific!! All around amazing experience!!
Always so happy with our orders from RJs!!! The food is so flavourful and cooked with authenticity and love. Lots of gluten free options and a variety of dishes - have never been disappointed with an order here. We were so impressed with the service recently as we placed a delivery order and were surprised to find they gifted us with soup to go with our order! The yellow soup that was included is now my favourite menu item - SO good! So much flavour!!! Thank you RJs, we’ll definitely be returning for more ☺️
New favourite spot in town! I am kicking myself that I didn’t check if there were gluten-free options here sooner. I have celiac disease and automatically assumed that an Italian place would be off limits for me. Not the case—they have so many options including gluten-free pizza AND pasta. It’s not often I get the luxury of choosing between the two.
(For those with celiac or an allergy, I checked and the crust is made offsite and it’s cooked on its own pan. I felt safe eating here. 😊)
My husband and I loved the food, wine, service, and atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon! 🙌
(PS if you could make a GF tiramisu with the Schar gluten-free ladyfingers, I would be so grateful! 🥹)
Had an amazing dinner here for my aunts 70th birthday.
Debbie was our server she was absolutely WONDERFUL. The atmosphere was great. The food was yummy.
The only reason its not a 5 star is because they served the pasta special and unfortunately the pork belly was soggy and very greasy.
Everything else was wonderful. Although it wasn't required today there were so many gluten free options available .
love the food at this place!
steak fries & poutine are great alternatives if you’re gluten free like myself. Definitely my favourite place in town to eat.
Safe for celiacs, great owners!
Very nice café! Great baked goods and Sandwiches with gluten-free options available.
They have a lot of local art displayed (most are available for sale). It's nice to see they support the community like that.
I always stop by when I'm passing through town.
Last minute hunger pangs hit on a 3 hour drive from Pearson Airport to Bruce County. This is one of those places you will likely NEVER stumble upon on a Sunday drive. Armstrong Street is one of many quirky, directionally confused offshoots of Broadway- the downtown of my hometown. We were starving, jet lagged and did NOT expect a stellar dining experience at 4:30 on an April Saturday. It was close, well reviewed and open. The public parking lot beside it was a plus. The large " Entrance" sign guided us down obscure alley that starts to make you doubt you are on the right track.
Trust me...keep going.
Taryn met us with wonderful professionalism you'd expect from a seasoned hostess twice her age. She didn't sugar coat it. We could eat, but not make an evening of it. We had inadvertently arrived on the verge of a sold out night. No reservation. No idea this was a Hotspot for many reasons.
- Amazing building. Old polished wood. Plush velvet benches and chic modern chairs. Craft beer bar side. Tables for 12. Variety. Character. Comfortable and cool.
- Palma. Probably the most efficient, genuine and aware serving expert in Dufferin County. It's a tough balance. In a very short time you have to convey patience, build rapport, put new clients at ease and remember to list your specials and answer inane questions while remembering multiple drink orders. Palma was friendly but not intrusive. No false banter just to make you feel guilty at tip time ;)
- Food. Look at the menu online and you will see a surprisingly inclusive selection. Wings if you are in jeans. Ginger salmon if you showed up in a suit. Enchiladas for those of you upset the USA is fighting Mexico as well as us.
PEI mussels came piled high and hot.
Beef Short Rib and mashed potato were elegant on the plate but down home delicious.
Duck fat French fries under Haddock? Even fish and chips can be fancy.
Vegan and vegetarian things are on the menu but I am not the person from whom you want unpaid advice on those selections. Gluten free things are an option because everything is reportedly house made. Even BVR ketchup.
As we finished up and were paying the place was gearing up for an evening people would remember. That buzz in the air as tables filled, energy crackling almost audibly. We had truly snuck in and shared a family moment in a place we really shouldn't have experienced without a plan and reservations.
Thank you to the ownership who clearly- whoever you are - imbue your food creators and front of house staff with confidence and support them at being very good at their jobs.
Thank you.
Food was incredible and offered a great Gluten-free bun. Jason was incredibly knowledgeable and saved me from ordering something that wouldn't have been gluten free and would have made me sick. Jason was very friendly and personable and during my meal he came by and asked how my food was. 10/10 service from Jason
The pizza is always fresh, delicious and delivered with a smile. The owner Kim takes very good care to make sure that the gluten free pizza is made with special care for my celiac son. It is the only pizza place that we feel comfortable ordering from as they have been consistently careful about cross contamination
(Our son has not gotten sick after eating for there). We have made it a weekly stop for a yummy pizza dinner from Toppers pizza. 😋🍕
We made an unplanned stop while on the road. The staff was super accommodating to help us getting seated. Both kids were hungry and they made sure we weren't waiting too long. But where I was really impressed was the length the waitress went to to ensure that my food was safe. Being celiac I rarely eat out, cross containmention is a real issue. She explained what she knew was safe and what wasn't. Even had them double check a couple of items. I really appreciated that level of care.
So I absolutely love going to the Orangeville Angels on Broadway because the service is amazing! Love how they pay attention to detail and how careful they are about not contaminated my food with others as I’m allergic to flour and it’s proteins (gluten) But they do their best!! Absolutely recommend going to the Orangeville location it’s a bit of a drive but you won’t regret it!!
(I’m giving Orangeville 5 stars!!!)
Georgetown location needs to be open longer and work on their customer service, also need to clean the place up as it’s not very clean. I’ve stopped and refused to go to this location(Georgetown) because the feeling is uneasy and uncomfortable, especially when you have people complaining about you because of you baby like really. I’ve never had this problem before until I went to Georgetown.
(I’m giving Georgetown 2 stars)
Best indian fusion/indian street food you will have. The staff is amazing and very helpful, and the food options are plentiful. There are vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan options, and you can customize your food as well. Highly recommend this place!
This is the best pizza we have tried in a long time. The gluten pizza is on it's own foil protected plate.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. We go back often.
